There is much more to see. These photos are taken in the overgrown grounds of what was once Kenmure House built by one of the renowned Stirling family. It became a convent school for girls I believe before becoming derelict and ruined by fire. Very little remains apart from the cast iron gate /fence posts a buff sandstone base or cap stone that appear in what I reckon to be a garden on a slope. There is much rubbish left behind, mainly empty beer cans and broken glass I'm sorry to say but with a little care and attention this could be a lovely nature walk. Yes you can see the golf course through the pallisade fencing which in itself is a lovely view if you wish to do so. The Bluebells are lovely but I'm not sure what the tall stocky plant is.
Lovely parkland course with friendly members and pro. Greens were good considering the rain we have had. Can't comment on the hospitality as we had a long drive home so didn't stay. Agree that car park could be a challenge at busy times although we had no problem. Would definitely play again.
Plenty of parking. Friendly professional and staff. Interesting course, challenging enough for the medium handicapper. Could signal the blind holes slightly better. Well maintained course in good condition in May when I visited.
We had a wonderful experience at Bishopbriggs. We were traveling through and did not have clubs. The Clubhouse Manager, Theresa, saved the day. She checked and rounded us up some clubs and a golf cart. She and her team were awesome and I am so thankful we ran into her. She made a bucket list item come true!
Great course, lovely staff and first class service. Really made me feel at home. I have given 4 instead of 5 stars solely down to the inadequate parking as it really felt that the parking area was far too small for the amount of people playing at this wonderful club.
