Very good food, although it is family friendly, which means a lot of children running around. If you can ignore the little darlings or if you have your own the food is worth it. Reasonable price too, and small plates are available if you don't want huge meals at lunchtime.
Came to the Belle Isle a lot over the last two years with my boyfriend, loved the fairly cheap food and drinks with good atmosphere. Came in today and they had changed their menu, and REALLY increased the prices of their food and drink. Because the food has been of good quality in the past, we let this slide and decided to eat anyway. We were disappointed when asking for two large cokes which were about £2.50 each, to then get a small glass with not a lot of liquid in. When the food camewe both had the nachos the portion size was way smaller than beforehand, which was very disappointing considering the nachos before were a really good portion size and 70% of the new price. The food was still of okay quality, but you don't get a lot of food for your money. Such a shame as it used to be a really good place.
Very nice looking place and a lovely place to relax and meet up with friends. Although some of the soft drinks are quite pricey. It has a young and vibrant student atmosphere. Yet to have eaten there but I would like to the next time I visit.
What a lovely little tucked away spot. Perfect after a long ride on the motorbike. Had a black coffee great and the jerk chicken which was recommended to me by the staff and authentic and delicious!. Super lovely and friendly, informative staff. Great décor, airy, sofas. Tick, tick, tick!
Been a fan of belle isle for many years, but after my visit today was sorely disappointed. The food has hiked in price considerably since my last visit and overall food quality has gone down, you used to be able to get a plate of nachos big enough to share for £8-£9 now £11-£13 and barely enough for one, also ordered a "large coke" which was a half pint glass for £2.50 and totally flat. What happened?! I mean it's only been a few months since my previous visit and now I won't be returning. Why would I? If you want decent food and a few drinks go down the road to the chantry or wahacca.
Make sure to get sweet potato fries instead of regular fries. Much better.
Incredibly good food and portion sizes, well presented in eye catching crockery. Drink prices are fair and the staff are always pleasant and aim to please the customer. Highly recommended.
Went hear for coffee morning. The group that I was part of were very happy with the venue and the staff were very helpful as most of the party were handicapped. But raised a valid point a charge was made on debit card payments. Considering the number other coffee places in Chichester who do not charge for the use of cards I found it difficult to justify this.
Easy to find place. No parking. Looks and feels like a run down chain. Too much light for it to be cosy. Clean and has philosophy though. A lot of personal, but unwillingly to do a more complex drink like a Old Fashion still. Prices are all right. Overall not overwhelming, because it has only a nice Fassade but nothing unique.
O dear not as good as my last visit. Went in for lunch at 1215, place only quarter full but still had 35 minutes wait. When I enquired about the air I was told by server that, unfortunately several people had ordered the same dish. What, that's not an excuse! Also beer was expensive and choice of desserts was limited and juvenile in the extreme.
