Was ok. The A17 can be heard clearly. The site on our visit was not disabled friendly with my partner tripping and falling twice on the path provided. We had informed them before hand of her disability and was told its first come first serve however we will sort it out on arrival this did not happen. However there were reserved spaces next to the front of the site where the toilets and wash rooms were. But not for us. Booked using pitch website so no refund given.
I imagine it would be good if you where further away from the road and were not disabled.

Friendly campsite owners made us feel welcome. Basic but clean facilities. A good stop off point when traveling further north or south. Road noise was manageable but is a consideration if you're a very light sleeper. It didn't bother us though.

A small and cosy campsite with good level pitches. I received a very warm welcome on my arrival and given a quick tour and all relevant info. Toilets and shower were clean and tidy and there was a small children's play area on site too. The site is close to an A road but I found the background noise of trucks passing in the night more soothing than troubling. If my travels bring me this way again I will be sure to return.

We used this great campsite for 2 nights to save our journey to Belton House. The owners were lovely, friendly and kindly supplied us with plenty of wood for an open fire which kept us nice and cosy. Plenty of field space for our children to play and even fly a kite. Highly recommend it and would stay again
