We arrived at a late dark night. The gate man was a perfect gentleman. He made sure we were headed into the correct area of this massive caravan park.nThe accommodation was really comfortable, especially for seven of us . The setting is beautiful, set around multiple lakes. The entertainment is endless, even as we were there in winter.nWe were belly laughing whilst playing mini golf , as we had a visit from the Grinch. Our game was totally interpreted by this Grinch , he would just appear at any time kick the ball out of play , pick up the ball and dissappear, then reappear. This made our day . The kids were in there best place.nIn our case there are chargers at the main area. So bothe our cars were catered for.nOne thing that was a bit of a pain. The queue for the Costa machine was never ended. Maybe the park owners should purchase a Costa franchise, that would be a money spinner.nI have since recommended this fabulous park to many people already.nPete's honest reviews.nKind regards Pete
ONE STAR BECAUSE I CANT PUT 0*nI’m extremely upset by my experience with this campsite.nA close family friend and I bought a caravan here. Sadly, shortly after the purchase, that family friend passed away, so we were unable to visit the campsite for some time.nWhen we finally went back yesterday, our caravan was no longer there. Staff told us it had been moved but refused to tell us where. We were then told that it was no longer our caravan and that it now belonged to the campsite.THEY DID NOT EVEN TRY TO CONTACT US IN ANY WAY!!!nWe were shocked. We paid a lot of money for this caravan and had many personal belongings inside, which we have not been able to recover. No clear explanation or documentation was provided, and staff were unhelpful and dismissive.nFrom our point of view, this situation feels completely wrong and possibly illegal. We trusted this campsite and have been left distressed, confused, and at a significant financial loss.nI would strongly advise anyone considering buying or storing a caravan here to be extremely careful.nTHEY WILL ROB YOU AND NOT INFORM YOU ABOUT ANYTHING
Stayed last january and it was lovely but this time it was very disappointing. Everywhere online it's advertised as this big winterfest event but really there is hardly anything going on, no one around and also any food we tried to have we were told wasn't available and this was MANY things not just one, I think it's false advertisement when it comes to the winterfest of course in the colder months you expect it to be quieter but it was just a constant let down I would go again for sure as the park itself i love, and the location ect also outside of the park there are some lovely pubs to go too and some beautiful places to walk, I just wouldn't go this time of year again
Paid for wifi never had it.£30 gone. Stood in the rain with a new born cause they need passes to get into the restaurant and arcade even though I went out to get something from the car the guy saw me leave and come back 2 min later and made me stand outside in the rain for my wife to bring it. Arcade machines is not working and the once that did work was not even worth looking at. We had a meal in the restaurant and we could have walked out without paying we had to go and ask them if they want paying an hour after we finished. We left early could not deal with this place. I'd rather pay 200 more and get what is advertised. The caravan mud on floors and the sofas felt like it was covered in itching powder. The seals was gone on the windows so felt like u in a wind turbine. Never again this place should be shut down and from what I saw wont be long. Place had barely people there and the once that was there I think might live there. Alot of cars came and left not long after. I'd stick with centre parks pay 1000 and enjoy your time away. This place never ever again.
0/10 – Extremely Disappointing ExperiencenWe paid £150 just for entrance for 3 nights, simply to be able to access the bar and restaurant, which makes absolutely no sense. I have never understood why guests should have to pay just to enter facilities like these.nThe food and drinks are extremely overpriced — over £6 for a pint of beer and more than £7 for a small portion of dirty fries.nThe rooms were very dirty and had a strong unpleasant smell. There were bugs in the room, and we couldn’t sleep properly because of this.nThe website states that towels are included, but there were no towels provided at all. On the last night the gas ran out, so there was no heating, and my children were freezing.nWe stayed 5 nights, yet we never managed to use the swimming pool even once because it was always fully booked — despite the fact that we had paid for access.nOverall, this was a very poor experience. I do not recommend this place to anyone, and I will never return.
