Well wasn’t impressed they offered a ‘local’ discount of 10% to...locals! But we didn’t qualify as we lived 135yrd outside the local area. 

But to be fair to the manager he gave it us off his own back anyway which is a 👍 but the way he did it showed he was a full of it 🔔🔚

But... he did also tell us to we could go and eat at ‘The Hornet’ as we lived in Rochdale whilst laughing 😂😂 which was lovely of him...but...unfortunately after eating The Beaches food... I fail to see hardly any difference whatsoever between the 2 places...except... in my opinion The Hornet is actually quite a bit better in decor and food...beer is better as well 🤓 and the manager is not such a 🐓

But the fella also knocked us 30% off the drinks is his charming smarmy way...but when we checked if the voucher worked we ordered 2 more which he then charged us full price for... now I’m not stupid so I knew what he had done, but I’m also not a mug who’s gonna point it out to him as he obviously thinks he’s too clever for that. Can’t be bothered wasting my hard earned breath on special people. 

Simple...treat people normal, not stupid like this fella tried treating us. No good offering the discounts ‘after’ acting the clown with a big smart arsed mouth then trying to be nice guy... learn some manners...learn to treat your customers better. Still won’t come back as it’s a dirty run down substandard food chain run badly...but you could try. Jack the lad doesn’t suit you. 

Anyway...won’t be returning anytime soon as food is average at best, beer not looked after great and manager is slightly delusional that he’s running a pub of a much higher standard than it actually is.

I’m not having a dig at him here by the way, he did give us a discount but was just the way he acted was like he was above us ‘non local’ people. Felt like the league of gentlemen scene. If you are the heart of your community and people like you...then ya community isn’t somewhere I wanna be sunshine. 

My suggestion would be to maybe offer those who book tables for 11 who are 100 yards not local enough a discount of 20% as they have made a bigger effort to come to your pub and spend their money and show a bit more respect to your customers instead of suggesting they could go and eat at ‘The Hornet’ especially as I’ve already said, your own standards of food, beer and cleanliness fall far below the establishment you are slagging off 😂🙄😁
