Love visiting this place - food is always great and comes out surprisingly fast even despite the long queues, well worth the wait at the weekends. Plenty of space to sit both inside and out and in summer there’s always lots of dogs to see! The friars breakfast is always lovely, but on this occasion I had the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon which was great.
Never disappointed here. We needed a table, at a busy time, and the owner was so helpful as one of our group was very frail. Dog friendly if you eat outside. Home-made soup is always good, and ideal if eating outside. Our usual Crab sandwiches are off the menu, due to the price of crab becoming exorbitant, not their fault, so we had fishfinger sandwiches instead. Their cakes are also excellent. Charming service too, we’ve been eating here for many years. Toilets nearby.
Lovely location Avon Beach for a coffee and sandwich find a seat on the prom or beach benches. We had the crispy chicken wrap and tuna melt and two coffees. I like the fact you can have your drink in a mug as well as a takeaway option.
This is a small café which I've been going to for many years, particularly for the bacon sandwiches. Indoor seating is limited, but there are outdoor tables. I always take mine away to one of the nearby promenade benches. The staff are very friendly and obliging.
Fantastic location, friendly staff, amazing food. This local gem supported the NHS during the lock down periods, and continues to provide Blue Light discount. Yes, it can be busy, but the location makes any potential wait worthwhile. In addition, the ice cream is lovely and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
Very friendly service, food very nice and filling with a million pound sea viewFood: 5/5
Lovely friendly staff and owners. Great reasonably priced food and selection of ice creams. It’s our first and only choice when we are in the area. Perfect location, right on the beach.
Shame really place caters for a lot of volume. Cake was dry and suspect Canned Apples apple cake. Carrot cake not bad bot not the best. Coffee was bitter and definitely not flat whites we ordered. Sorry, but really not a hot place to recommend, but it surely dosen't need my comments with the captive audience they have.Food: 2/5
Had a English breakfast, great vista you can see the Needles on the Isle of Wight. Thought the breakfast was quite expensive for what you got.Food: 3/5
Right on the beach and open most of the year; although hours change with the seasons. We get coffee and cake there regularly and ice creams in the summer. The queue can get a bit long though and there is very limited seating if the weather is poor. Pleasant staff and they have a loyalty card for hot drinks.
