Was in Monifieth 6 years ago when it was the van diner with my dad who has since passed the owner Duncan was very  helpful and kind to my dad. This is the first time we have been back since then and was very pleased to find that Duncan and his wife were still the owners had a lovely chat with Duncan the food was excellent and the service was excellent and very reasonable.Don't know when we will be in Monifeth again but if we do we will definitely go to the bay diner.

Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast and plenty of it. Free refill of tea/coffee although, I couldn't have one because of being full after eating, good prices too.

Phoned up for a pre-order which was they didn't do, arrived and placed order and were told to stand and wait outside on food. Luckily there was a defibrillator outside due to a risk of cardiac arrest when you are given the bill. Food was OK.

Baked potato with mince is to die for.  Best lunch I have had in a long time. Excellent value for money.  Caramel shortcake also comes highly recommended.  Staff welcoming and helpful with choices.  Beach side location a further bonus.

I must recommend this diner You can get gluten free fish and chips done in a delicious way with crumbs. I often just have the fish and salad ..You have to give them 15minute notice..but  so worth ringing. It's got nice wee seating area. Which at the mo is not in use...but plenty of benches around the pleasant beach Of course it does other meals for takeaway. All freshly cooked all good.

Since covid -our first visit to our favourite diner after walking from broughty ferry to monifieth. A welcome return for us. The best selection of gluten free cakes - spoilt for choice

Mince roll was fab also clootie dumpling excellent .We often pop in here when out walking .Great place ,the staff are very helpful ,worth a visit and prices are reasonable .

Eat here all the time. Food is great and staff are friendly. Great place to grab a bite while out with dogs. Plenty outdoor seating and a water bowl for the dogs. Don't know what coffee they use but it's really nice. Wheelchair and pram accessible.
