Went for the breakfast with Santa, and found ourselves very disappointed. Thankfully our little one is only 3 so he enjoyed it but it was a very poor effort. Start time was 10am, we wrongly assumed we’d be able to go in a little earlier, which wasn’t an issue, however doors opened between 5 and 10 minutes after this time and we were stood outside in the cold with 2 young children. No one showed us how the morning was supposed to go I.e. which menu, how to order, do you go to Santa or do you get called forward so just went in and had to work it all out ourselves. Food and drinks ordered, we received the wrong drinks and when I flagged this the lady was a bit rude telling me that she said which drink she brought to the table I had ordered but wasn’t there when it came and asked if we wanted it correcting. Food came and we received an adult portion for the kids breakfast even though I was clear it was the kids portion we wanted, thankfully our little one managed to eat most of it but I’d rather he got an actual child portion. When I worked everything out at the end no receipt given I’d been charged for the wrong drinks more expensive but no refund of over charge offered and the adult breakfast so it looks like the person taking the order wasn’t paying attention no question raised as to the 3 adult breakfasts at a children’s event. We had almost finished eating before Santa even turned up and this was hands down the worst looking Santa I have ever seen! Nice enough guy but it’s like the North Pole were busy so they ordered this one from Wish. The guy was nice enough but he hadn’t shaved his black stubble which was poorly obscured by what was essentially a sheet of white felt. It looked like it had been either made by kids at a primary school or bought at a really cheap fancy dress shop, I’m surprised my 3 year old bought it! The icing on the cake was when he got a drink, and the only elf - who’s outfit was a much better quality by the way - stood in front of him, while lifted the sheet of felt beard to take a sip. Thankfully my little one was facing the other way so no illusions shattered this time. There was no organisation on visiting Santa, anyone could have walked in and got a free gift and a chat with the man. The gift bag wasn’t too bad, though maybe next time remove the £1.99 B&M sticker from the toys. The food was ok, pretty much as expected although some temperatures a bit inconsistent i.e. cold beans, warm sausages. We ordered extra toast which after a fair while, we had to get up to ask where it was came out straight away but unsurprisingly, cold. In summary, this was an awful experience, though thankfully and somehow my 3 year old seemed to enjoy it though that could have been the enormous portion of breakfast waffles he’d wolfed down.
Very disappointing. I had fish & chips here today & the chips were awful like thick oven chips. The salt cellar was congealed & totally bunged up, so I had to remove the lid to get anything out! All in all not a very pleasant experience & I will be in no hurry to return, let alone order any food.
Came in today for some snacks after a walk round Worsley. First let me say…. The staff in here never disappoint they’re so welcoming to both me and my children every time I come in. The foods lovely as always, service can’t be faulted. Sat with the children and they come over to see if they’d like any colours and stuff. They speak to you in a friendly manner and the whole atmosphere is so relaxed it’s just a good vibe. We only had snacks today but we often visit and I’ve never had an issue with food. Because my daughter wanted some of the nachos but doesn’t like the sauces they even delivered them separate and then only put cheese on half of them for us - nothings too much trouble. Can’t wait to visit again for a roast!!
Nice little pub. The food is nice and has a small selection of cocktails.
I can’t believe the change at this establishment in a matter of a few weeks. They now have a range of cask ales that will appease most pallets and all of a high standard. Thanks Mark. The food we had was of a good standard and lovely and hot and served on warm plates. Keep up the great work.
Great food and good choice of non alcoholic drinks, too. Service with a smile goes a long way. Only given 4stars as the place looks tired inside and out needs a revamp. All in all a great landing spot.
I went to this restaurant on Tuesday with my Mum and her brother and sister. We all greatly enjoyed our visit to this place because the food was plentiful we all chose completely different items from the menu, the ambiance was very pleasant and the staff were extremely helpful and polite. We would be highly likely to go there again and would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Very disappointing. Ordered the steak on ciabatta. 4 little slices of steak on the smallest piece of ciabatta with a blob on chutney . Less than a handful of chips and salad that didn’t look fresh on the side. Portion side for a child and at nearly £10 I expected a lot more. Service was very slow so took a while to come. I appreciate it was quite busy though. I wanted to send it back but staff where already pushed and no one available to speak to. They already looked stressed when taking orders at the bar. What made it more disappointing was it was my partners birthday lunch. I spent over £30 on 2 lunches and 2 drinks. Won’t be back in a hurry and feel I should of requested a refund there and then for the quantity and quality of the food.
I booked a Festive Dinner lunchtime meal for a group of 24 people on the 5th December. The food and service were excellent, and thanks to pre booking, everyone got exactly the meal they had ordered. The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. Our Christmas get together was enjoyed by everyone in a warm and festive setting. A big thank you to Elly new manager, Dave, Kieran and the team.
I really enjoyed my meal here. Well priced and wonderful service. Quick service and the taste of the food is on point. A great find, among the chaos of Manchester around Christmas
