Lovely, quiet atmosphere - great for couples or entertaining. Good service and outstanding food, which was genuinely good value for money. The thought and depth of some of the dishes was remarkable for the money - outstanding food, loved it. I'm local so I shall be returning with my wife hopefully vegetarian options will be available at the time of booking and most certainly, with guests. My guest today said this was the best "lunch" he's had in a long time and was very pleased I'd taken him there.

Came here yesterday with my family to celebrate a special occasion. From the moment we walked in the door, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were wonderful and the setting relaxed and comfortable. The food was AMAZING...presentation, quality, taste ...superb all three courses. The warm bread with olives, chorizo or walnut were a wonderful accompaniment to our very generous starters. The mains were spectacular... as for the desserts...WOW. It truly was the perfect venue to round up the perfect day. Thank you to the chef and all the staff - well done x We will be Back :

Just wanted to say thanks for the wonderful staff. The food was amazing, services was spot on. Couldnt of asked for more. If you love food or fancy a extremely nice meal this is the place to go. Still my favourite restaurant. Went there this time for my birthday as it was a surprise. Recommended highly!!

I have been to The Barn over the last 10 years now and I can honestly say that it is an excellent place for an intimate dinner for two, an amazing Sunday Lunch for all the family or a wonderful place for a celebration.  We always go on Birthdays, Anniversaries and any special occasion.  The food is fantastic, the staff are wonderful and the surroundings are lovely.

I believe this place has now been sold and is shortly set to become a Indian restaurant. On the one occasion I went, not long before closing, I did think the seating had been crammed, to maximise the seating capacity you could squeeze into a small location. The food was lovely if only the portion sizes could have been bigger - for example, asked if I wanted chips with my streak and i literally got 6 thick chips yes 6. I hope this venue, although the food changes, continues to be a pleasent place to dine. oh and the carpark is small too. so be careful of that

I am sure the food and service is as good as other reviewers have put here.  Unfortunately my wife and I have been unable to confirm this as the restaurant owners have failed to respond to seven phone calls over two weeks.  These were timed just before service start and during service.  All were answered by a recorded message saying that they would return the call as soon as possible.  Since this was to make a booking for a Groupon Voucher, requiring a prior booking by telephone, we have given up and reluctantly asked the booking donor to apply for a refund.  Pity; we have eaten there many years ago and were looking forward to re-visiting a restaurant that we have forgotten about.

Lovely restaurant with plenty of space between tables giving diners privacy. Food beautifully presented as very tasty. Be aware though this is a proper restaurant so portions may be small for some.

I am bemused by the negative reviews on this site.  I have been many times to the superb haute cuisine restaurant.  Amazing lunch time value.   Food cooked to perfection,  and i mean succulently cooked meats,  prepared by true chefs as opposed to a cook.   Of course quality of this standard comes at a premium.  And ps i dont work here but i do take business clients here in order to impress.

good staff .food ok but not value for money  very small portions . i felt ripped off  for the price. i will never eat there again

The food was very nice and the staff were so attentive and nothing seemed too much trouble.
