Story

Bringing the people of Bedford a fabulous LGBT nightlife hotspot as well as somewhere to enjoy some delicious fare, The Barley Mow is the oldest gay venue in the UK, first established in 1836. It caters for any occasion from lunch to cabaret, and the finest Djs through to 4am. What’s more, the fantastic bar and restaurant is now be accepting the Gourmet Society and Taste card, meaning that members who call in advance are able to partake in the latter at a superb discount, leaving a little extra money in the wallet for the former.

Making for delightful accompaniments to one of their many beverages, or tasty starters in a more indulgent two or three course meal, are the Lite Bites, where a selection of scrumptious nacho platters sit alongside a gratifying collection of chips and twisty fries that are available with a variety of toppings.

When it comes to the larger plates there are a variety of gourmet hot dog, burger and pizza options that promise to satisfy any appetite, or make for delectable main meals to be enjoyed as part of an enjoyable casual dining experience.
