Had a boating holiday on the canals and needed somewhere family friendly but also a close walk to our moorings lower down the lock.nnThe Barge was it - Really friendly welcome and the food was top quality, seriously give the tasty trio burger a try. Bonus points for having a damned good selection of Sandford cider and even more points for having scrumpy!nnNice and relaxed atmosphere when we went on the Wednesday and we liked it that much we booked for the following evening - Bit more lively in the bar but nicely busy with a good mix of folks.nnIt's an absolute must if you're in BOA, the good food is complimented by the efficient and friendly staff who really made it a worthwhile visit.

We stopped at this canal side pub once for an evening meal and a couple of days later for coffee.nIt's a great location with large beer garden. Food was good without being outstanding.nCertainly worth a visit, particularly on a warm afternoon.

We stayed 1 night whilst visiting Bath as a family of 3 plus dog. The room was very good, well appointed and clean.  We had an evening meal and breakfast here, the food was amazing.  It's located right next to the canal and we had a lovely evening walk down there.  Only downside was although advertised as a dog friendly hotel, they charged an extra £21 for our furry friend on arrival.

This pub is close to two others that are total tourist traps. This one is a little quieter and more relaxing. Prices are decent and there is good local ale and cider options. Sadly though, the service was a little sluggish and we waited around 45 minutes for what turned out to be fairly average food.

Had a delicious dinner here with a large group of friends & family. A broad range of options to suit everyone's palate, including kids and friends from abroad. Everything was delicious, including the beer and cider.nLarge beer garden next to the canal provided space and interest for the kids.nStaff were absolutely lovely.
