Update, June 2017: Has benefited from some refurbishment which fortunately has kept all the original features: whisky barrels, fireplace, etc. Also very good to see an excellent range of whiskies and gins. Only one cask ale though and would be good to see a few more. Heading in the right direction! :-)

My original review, 2016: In need of sympathetic overhaul. Keep the good bits and the genuine interior (the bar with the superb whisky barrels above, the fireplace, etc.) but for Pete's sake start serving decent beer and wine. This place could be so much more (and used to be). Please try (a lot) harder.
