REVIEW OF TOWER WINE BAR!!!!! BE WARNED!!!!! One of the worst companies I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with! A deposit of £100 I was stupidly going to pay £200, lucky i didnt was paid a few months ago for my daughters 9th birthday party next weekend and I was told when booking that if I did not pay the total balance a week prior to the event I would loose my £100 deposit and the venue which is perfectly acceptable. I was also told I had a week to cancel my daughters party and my deposit would be fully refunded. I visited the venue and spoke about everything and about how the party would go etc. And then a week later contacting this venue became a massive issue. After logging well over 100 phone calls, two voice mails, one facebook inbox to this page, one facebook wall post to this page, facebook messages to a page which has since been deleted and eventually hunting down a member of staff on facebook by searching her name I got through to the venue. from the 9th of November until the 7th of December I tried to contact the venue again many times but the only way this was possible was by me eventually contacting the bar staff via inbox on her personal page This is not how a business should work in my opinion. With the party payment deadline drawing closer and not having paid the remaining balance I tried contacting them AGAIN on Thursday 11th December and the bar staff member told me she would ring me Friday. Surprise Surprise no contact was made and I persisted to call over 25 times on Friday the 12th December. On Saturday the 13th of December, one week before my daughters party I went to the Atlantis Complex. At 9pm I eventually saw a member of staff after standing outside the wine bar entrance for 20mins. After arguing with this member of staff about the lack of communication, my numerous attempts to get response, my worry about the shambolic way this venue is run and seeing this particular member of staff high on drugs I asked for my deposit back. Sunday I received a message from this staff members personal facebook to say the boss wont give the deposit back and to ring the office Tuesday. If nobody answers the phone when I ring will they really answer it today? You guessed correctly, they have not answered the phone to me all day and not received contact from them. Luckily I have been able to book my daughter a party for the same day and time in the same area so I only have to notify the guests of change of venue. I wouldn't wish what I have gone through the past few days on anybody!!! Perhaps if staff members took more time to answer the phone instead of taking drugs upstairs this might actually be a half decent place. The moral of this post is... 1 DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR MONEY FOR VENUE HIRE 2 DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS VENUE AS THEY WONT TREAT YOU LIKE A VALUED CUSTOMER, OR EVEN ANSWER A PHONE!!!!
I would give half a star coz the music is bad and everyone is always in a bad mood. The bouncer is races, very aggressive. Music is from the 90s. Service is bad and very expensive.
Don’t visit here. Don’t work here either. They refused to pay my last months wage, and I had to get the Early Conciliation involved before they reluctantly agreed to pay me half what they owed me. Truly awful people, and a truly awful place. Don’t give them your money.
