Nice from architectural point and in some way one of the landmarks
The Atkinson is a lovely arts centre with plenty to see. Very nice café and shop too. Well worth a visit
Helpful staff. Clear floor markings for the pandemic precautions. Big wide spaces to walk around with wheelchairs.
The new Lego exhibition is very good
Great place to visit. Although with covid, not open yet, correct at time of writing but love the exhibitions they have. There is also a coffee shop and souvenir shop with books of old southport with some fascinating photos in.
I love the Atkinson as a Venue. I have visited many times over the last 6 years. The seating is such that you always seem to be able to see and hear everything ok wherever you are.
A community theatre but with professional standards. Excellent acoustics, atmospheric surroundings and always friendly. Good bar too which serves bottled real ale including a local brew and takes interval orders, so no queueing. Great venue.
