It's a great place to go for fish supper, good variety too. Lovely food. Good service.

We went here as a large group who hadn't booked and were accommodated very well. The staff were very helpful even offering to see if we could get some things that weren't on the menu. The food was delicious and punctual (which was great considering the large group size). Sadly they were out of the "whale" but I'm sure I'll come back some time to tackle it.

Very disappointed. Chips were dry and appeared re heated. Chicken batter was fine, but chicken inside was a bit dry. Mince pie was a bit dry also. Not up the usual high standard.

The Ashvale Portlethen. Just had a fish supper. Fish was good. However, the chips were dry as a bone and over cooked. Probably last night's chips. Need to provide good food as cost in total over £19.
