It has recently been refurbished and is under new management. The Bay Chippy is famed for its excellent value and won’t be beaten on price, quality is never compromised though and we continue to ensure the highest standards are met. We have a 5 star hygiene award and source as much of our products from local sustainable suppliers. We are only 300 metres from Swansea’s famous Bay where there is no better place to eat our fish and Chips and enjoy the views of Mumbles head and beyond. Quite an average fish & chips, my cod bites were a generous portion but really quite oily the type where it seeps out when you bite into it, my partner's scampi was quite small, and the chips were neither the soft or crispy type so a bit disappointing. Wouldn't rush back but maybe just a personal preference.
Generous portions for cod and chips at a reasonable price, though we found the cod to be very oily. If you are hungry on a budget this might just fill your needs.
Absolutely delicious I had cod & chips & my children had scampi & chips, each served with a lemon wedge, & curry sauce. Crisp, fresh & generous portions. Friendly ladies & immaculate chippy. We highly recommend.

This place is amazing and easily the best chippy in the whole of Swansea. The portions are good the food is hot fresh and tasty. We ordered via Uber eats and chose priority delivery. It gor here fresh out of the fryer smelling beautiful I couldn't wait to tuck in. My son loved his cheese beans and chips with extra salt he's very fussy with his meals but he loves this one from the bay chippy he won't eat this meal from elsewhere. Amazing if you get a chance to eat here do it. Vegetarian options: I believe I saw vegetarian options which is also great.

Popped in while we were vising...well drove for an hour from our Campsite!! The Food....ecsquisit... the fish and chips particularly. The Lady was lovely and welcoming. The Chippy itself was immaculate. I'm just sad we don't live nearer!!! Couldn't fault this place one bit.
Really good value and tasty food. I had chips, chilli con-carne & rice. Very big Portion and very satisfying. Friendly, clean and will visit again when I’m in Swansea.
Fish & Chips Really happy with the service and kindness of the staff! The fish and chips were freshly made and it was delicious. And as you can see big portions so you will be full afterwards. Easy to park if you are planning to collect your meal.
Wow wow wow! I cannot recommend this chippy enough. Went for the first time yesterday and was really impressed. It is very clean and bright, Tracy and Fran were very friendly and welcoming, and the cod and chips were so yummy. Hubby and I had a senior cod and chips each and the portions were huge. The chips were cooked perfectly and so was the fish. The cod had no bones or skin and the batter was melt in your mouth delicious. Absolutely the best chip shop in Swansea and from now on we won’t be going anywhere else, but here.
