A very nice restaurant with function rooms and accommodation. Good variety of food at lunchtime. Our last visit was for a party. Good size room with dance floor. Food was lovely but the drinks a but pricey a pint of lager and a wine was £10. Although we weren't staying we were told the price of the rooms were £70 a night and breakfast was extra. Unfortunately a bit too far from Newcastle so taxi/car required

Great food, super friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Great view as you would expect and well located for A1 so easy to get to. Sunday lunch was outstanding, and prices were completely reasonable.

We had a spur of the moment decision to visit for some lunch and we are so glad we did. They do a great value 3 course for 7.95 which consists of starter, main course and a hot drink. In the party we had the soup, pate and bruchetta which were demolished and enjoyed. For the main course we had mince and dumplings, which was fantastic and left us wanting the recipe. Steak baguette which unfortunately isn't cooked to your preference so was over done, dry and tough. The other meal wasn't on the menu (chicken ceaser salad) but when asked for they said they will sort it out and they did a fantastic job. The waiting staff that served us were lovely and friendly. I am looking forward to returning to try the other items on the menu
