Stayed here for the third time last week. It's a hidden gem - lovely hotel and grounds. We had a beautiful room overlooking the garden. Breakfast was lovely - smoked salmon and scrambled egg. The bar area is tastefully decorated and a nice relaxing place to have a drink.

Been a couple of times now and both times the food has been amazing. Well presented, decent portions that do not cost a fortune. Staff are very polite and friendly. The eslington villa and its grounds are very picturesque which makes eating your food that little bit more pleasing. Make sure to phone and book a table as the eslington villa can often be fully booked.

Went to a birthday party here in a private function room. It was comfortable, intimate and a great setting. Staff were very friendly and genuine. The food tasted incredible but they were quite stingy on their portion sizes.

Went for a family birthday meal, food was excellent. I highly recommend the scallops, steak and cheese cake. Friendly staff, good service.

Charm, character and taste abound in this small hotel and restaurant. Service is hospitality personified. I will always book when in Newcastle.
