My wife and I ate at The Anchor today. We found the overall experience an absolute pleasure. The service was quick with a nice break after mains, the whole team made us welcome and the food was of a very good standard. It really is food that makes you smile. I also think the price is very reasonable. We will be visiting a lot from now on. Thank you Steve,Amy & team.

Fabulous food... well worth every penny. I've never been disappointed with any of the dishes and visit regularly. The team are all so friendly and knowledgeable and are clearly passionate about the food that they produce.

The general feel of the Anchor was more of a country local rather than a GastroPub that it is advertised so it was a little bizarre to be sat in a beer garden and then faced with a relatively pricey menu, My starter was very nice and well worth the price but the main was very poor quality, i ordered filet steak which i was informed had been boiled for 2 hours and then pan fried, the quality of the steak was very poor and lacked flavour, the accompanying triple cooked chips were very hard and again tasteless, for a dish approaching £30 i expected a lot higher quality. Overall the Anchor was a very nice place and other members of our party thoroughly enjoy their starters and mains however all that had the filet steak had the same complaint

Just been to a family gathering here and it was great. Barbecue was out of this world and good value. Very friendly and a large outside seating and kids play area. The restaurant looked really worth a visit another time.

Outstanding food! Warm and friendly staff, will definitely be a regular dining spot - 10/10 can't fault it!
