We went for breakfast mainly because it was the easiest way to cater for the visiting children! There is a large carpark which makes finding a space easy, there’s also a lot of facilities nearby such as a Co-Op if you need a few bits. Wifi is available throughout the pub, as well as a couple of fruit machines. Access is easy with no steps and a wide entrance. Inside is quite spacey it was clean and well presented when we visited. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We were a little disappointed to find that due to supply issues pancakes were off the menu along with a few other items, however no blame for the staff or establishment here; it’s just the situation. Our server was very apologetic and friendly, we had a decent laugh with her about the situation. The food and service was decent I had the full English breakfast which I was very pleased with. There were also vegan breakfasts available and vegetarian breakfasts. The filter coffee was decent. Based on this experience I would recommend a visit.
I haven't been to a Harvester for about 30+ years... Brought my son and my dog in here, as we were charging the car nearby.. friendly welcome, friendly staff and the food was great! Lovely fish and chips too! Oh and don't forget the classic Harvester complimentary salad bar visit too! Recommended.Food: 5/5
Another great Harvester, probably the best so far! service was fantastic, food was delicious fresh and hot. The salad bar well stocked and fresh. The bread was soft and fresh. Deserts were tasty and looked really good too. This Harvester is also dog friendly so we will definetly be back with another 4 legged customer. Kid-friendliness: very family and children friendly Parking: electric/tesla charging points ++
Good accessibility, high chairs etc readily available. Parking can be somewhat difficult at peak times but everywhere is the same. Self serve salad back which is good for the kids. Food brilliant each time we have been, drinks can take a while to reach you, patience is key, it's a big site with alot of tables to take care of. Picture of mighty mixed grill, honestly, a fantastically cooked "blue" rump steak!
As always with harvesters no disappointment here. Amazing food and amazing staff. Thank you to are waitress Kaleisha who made are hole experience fantastic. We will be going back again very soon.
Amazing place for fantastic food, very friendly, helpful & efficient staff, especially the manager, we hadn't booked a table, but he re-arranged the bookings & gave us a table straight away. Amazing steak, cooked to perfection. Very good value for money. Lovely warm, fruendly atmosphere.
Worst Harvester Experience in a Very Long Time. Cleanliness was appalling, and fell far below the standard across the board on multiple aspects. Firstly we were escorted to our pre-booked table, where when sitting down my partner crushed their feet in food remains left from previous guests full fries. The Salad Bar was grubby, but do appreciate that during periods of high demand this can occur, but the worst area was the Drinks Station area. The drinks table appears to have not been cleaned thoroughly in a very long time, with staining seen in the attached photos and leaking around to the rear of the machines also, indicating this is a systemic issue of poor cleanliness not just high demand. Service was slow despite there being spare tables available, therefore not at capacity. Our waitress was polite, however the staff member delivering glasses slammed our glasses down and walked off with no communication, in a hurry. Salad Bar... well this was the most disappointing aspect. Harvesters claim to fame, but letting them down here at Amesbury. The irony of a harvester poster advising that the Salad bar would always be fully stocked as a promise...well they have broken that promise well and truly tonight. A partially functioning Salad bar at best, soggy lettuce drowning water, and sweetcorn were the main aspects....no coleslaw, potato salad, bacon bits, crispy onion, croutons or mayonnaise...when asking staff a very short reply of "we've run out" Disappointing to make a promise you, fail to deliver on Harvester, if you make a promise keep to it, by planning your stock levels appropriately, otherwise a false promise is only going to continue to push customers away with repeated poor performances like this one.
Brilliant service from Pip. Very welcoming and affable. Food was great and arrived swiftly. The Belgian Chocolate Brownie was the best I've had. Many thanks.
We had a wonderful visit at this Harvester. It was for my daughter’s birthday and she loved it esp the salad cart. The staff were working so hard as it was a busy night and we still got five star service. The waitress we had on our table was so friendly and caring. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back. In all a great family experience. Thank you!! Vegetarian options: Lots of options
Very good quality food and the young lady serving us, Kali, was bright and bubbly and a credit to what is usually a place filled with poor people stuffing as much as they can into their faces from the salad bar.Recommended dishesDirty Bird Combo
