I had good fish and chips in here, the smaller portion which was plenty for me. I also had a glass of Shiraz which was really good for a pub wine. My husband didn't have as much luck, he chose the carvery which was part tepid, part cold and dried up and did resemble pretty poor canteen food! My advice is to go but order from the main menu so you know your food is cooked fresh. The staff are lovely, it's a nice pub atmosphere which you don't often find in Scotland (sorry, I am Scottish but I'm always embarrassed by our pubs) they also welcome dogs which is great.
