What a quaint place, proper old style pub with roaring log fire, Timothy Taylors beer on draft. Friendly and helpful landlord and lady. They even knocked us up some great haddock and chips after arriving late from Lewis Our bedroom (1) was small but warm, comfy and and super quaint with all the mod cons fitted over the years. The wardrobe had us laughing, we reckoned it's actually a wormhole to another galaxy. All in all a great place to stay for the non pretentious. O and the quote of the night when asked when the bar shuts.... It depends... Delivered with a smile

Nice evening spent in this bar, the staff was very nice! Good tips for visiting Scotland, large choice of spirits and wonderful tasting of rums with the boss!

I've seen it written a few times here and I would definitely like to confirm it. The landlord is just thoroughly unpleasant and I regret giving him my custom and hard earned cash. Miserable experience in what is an idyllic location. He won't get another penny out of me when I'm back up in that amazing corner of the world (Go to the pub down the road.. or the ramshackle but full of character little cafe round the bay a bit.. maybe called the yachting club? Sounds posh but it's not. Great location and big couches at the windows where you can sit.. and be welcome!) Alex
