Beautiful little cafe in Manchester! The staff were really friendly, and the food was delicious. It's great for vegans, with a lot of healthy options as well. I went for the salad bowl, and got most of every salad option they had - all of which was good. There's also a little shop above, with things like vegan yorkshire puddings for sale. 2 floors of organic goodness. The ground floor contains fresh, deli & cupboard foods. There are loads of supplemental foods towards the back. Downstairs is the cafe with a massive range of vegan options. Fill yer mini shopping cart and your belly at The Eighth Day Shop & Cafe.Food: 5/5
This is a great place with a fab range of products, especially if you're vegan. The shop has beautiful cakes, wraps and baked goods as well as a range of artisan produce and health food. They have a very extensive range of vitamins. The basement cafe is brilliant - really good quality plant-based food at a very fair price and a nice relaxed atmosphere. They also do fab smoothies and juices. It's right on the bus route, and there are plenty of cycle racks outside if you're on your bike! Vegetarian options: In the cafe, all of the food is vegan and it's excellent.
I love this place, I’ve been coming here for a number of years both to the shop and the amazing cafe downstairs. I love that I can get really good quality food and supplements under one roof. There is usually a member of staff around to ask for advice on the supplements and skincare products which is great. The deli snacks and cakes are amazing and I’ve never had a bad meal in the cafe. The coffee is lovely and the stews and daals are tasty. I often treat myself to. Zinger juice with my food.
I come in to the Eighth Day shop and cafe nearly every other day. They have a great range of vegan goods, and their baked goods are excellent and not too expensive. I love that they are ethically committed and it means that I like to spend my money there, but to be honest, because I enjoy them I'd probably have their wraps and cherry and chocolate slices even if they weren't! Previously they used to charge extra for alt-milks in their cafe to my surprise at the time, but they have now gone 100% vegan, and I think that's a good choice.
We used 8th Day Catering for a surgical training day at MRI and they were so accommodating, due to short notice i contacted them the day before the event and even with this being said they did everything they could to provide the team with a delicious lunch, we decided to use a vegetarian/ vegan catering company due to dietary requirements and even the non vegetarians we're incredibly impressed with the food and were asking where it had been sourced from. The price was very reasonable for the quality of food and service. Thank you again for all your help in providing a spectacular lunch for the attendees.
The best of the best! There is nothing this shop does not have. A vegan paradise for locals and travellers, with vegan cafe downstairs. All sorts of products like essential oils, soap, spices, ready made food, a hot deli, sauces, VEGAN QUICHE, vegan cheese and yogurt. Will someone please get me a £200 gift certificate from here so I can go wild? Reigning proud in Manchester since the 70's and now PERFECT! Went to the cafe for MY FIRST TIME TODAY. I am in love! Absolutely love this place. A wide selection of whole foods for vegans and vegetarians alike. A selection of skin care & vitamins. A great cafe on the lower ground floor serving a number of vegan dishes and healthy fresh smoothies. The staff are knowledgeable & friendly.
Food is amazing, best value for money in Manchester, massive portions and the tunes are always top notch in the cafe, great eclectic mix.. Bowie, the fall, Hendrix, Otis Redding, Tom waites… goes on and on. Staff very friendly tooFood: 5/5
Food in the cafe is to die for. I always go there when in Manchester, even if it's out of the way. Had Sri Lanka curry with tofu and veg, so yummy! Great service, good coffee, vegan cakes and choice of several hot meals and some sandwiches, as well as a great salad bar. Lov it! Vegetarian options: Vegan
