The seating, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch. the space still felt warm and welcoming, not stuffy or pretentious. The live piano music added a lovely ambiance. However, the only downside was that our teas were a bit cold, the sandwiches was standard.. Despite this minor issue, the Savoy still delivered a wonderful afternoon tea experience.
Such a waste of money. At £100pp for some sandwiches, sweet treats and a glass of champagne each, I expected a lot more food than we got! You get a selection of sandwiches which you then get to choose your favourite. You then get one finger sandwich each of your favourite.. I would have expected two rounds of sandwiches for that price! The scones were tiny too! The tea was dreadful as well. Tasted like hot water! Also the service felt extremely rushed. We had only been in there an hour and the bill was put on the table. The waitress then came over with the card machine 5 minutes later. I questioned how long we got on the table and she said 1hr45. I said we’d only been there an hour!! She apologised and took the bill away. All in all I definitely wouldn’t recommend The Savoy for afternoon tea. You’re paying for the name, nothing else.
The experience of having afternoon tea was simply amazing! We had a wonderful waitress Emma who was very attentive, gave wonderful recommendations and made us feel very welcomed. The teas were amazing and the food selection outstanding. If you want a proper afternoon tea experience then you cannot miss out on having it here. We will be booking our afternoon teas here every time we come to visit London in the future.

The Afternoon Tea at The Savoy in London is a delightful experience. The elegant setting, extensive tea selection, and exquisite pastries and scones make it a memorable treat. The service is top-notch, perfect for a special afternoon indulgence.Food: 5/5
Maybe English afternoon tea is not for me. Most things were quite plain and uninteresting. The best things from the meal were the beetroot entree and the scones which are called biscuits in the US. Tea was okay. It tastes like regular black tea or earl grey to me. It probably takes some kind of connoisseur to tell the difference. Service was amazing. Everyone was so polite and helpful. The space is gorgeous with lovely music. The most memorable thing about the entire experience was the vibe for sure.
Can't rate this place highly enough. We were so looked after. We felt truly special. The staff were incredible! They treated our daughter like a princess. They all remembered her name and said happy birthday to her. She got a gift, card and a special birthday cake and message. The kindness shown was truly amazing and real experience. We can't wait to go back! The food was also incredible. Our tea was delightful. We loved that they will bring you more of your favourite things if you ask too. Far better than huge portions and food waste. They also will go the extra mile. They swapped out meat sandwich for vegetarian for our daughter. Also she only drinks chai late or water, so they made her a chai late even though that wasn't even on the menu! Thank you! Your really will love the care here Thank you savoy! Kid-friendliness: They were amazing at accommodating our daughter!
If you’re looking for a nice and high quality afternoon tea, this is the best of the best. There’s a huge selection of teas, some of which I’ve never heard of, and wonderful scones, sandwiches, and deserts. If you’re concerned that you might not get enough food, don’t worry, we were offered another round of sandwiches at no cost and we left full. Live piano music was also being played while we indulged. We were also celebrating my wife’s birthday here and they brought out a small complimentary piece of cake for her as the pianist played happy birthday for her. She had a wonderful birthday and her dream of having an afternoon tea in London was fulfilled.
We visited on Sunday, this was my first ever experience of an afternoon tea and wow the bar has been set very high!! Danny who was looking after us was amazing, such a great personality, he made sure we were satisfied throughout and nothing seemed too much trouble. The ambience was great and I loved listening to the piano player. The food was delicious, I liked that we were offered any additional sandwiches we did opt for another coronation chicken sandwich each but we really didn’t need it!, the scones were lovely, we tried both the fruit and plain ones. The desserts were very tasty and definitely made sure there was something for all tastes. We actually could not finish everything and was offered to box up the leftovers, which was a lovely touch. As I said the bar has been set very high. Would definitely recommend the afternoon tea to anyone.
The Savoy was always a bucket list experience. We finally got to visit for my friend’s hen do, and afternoon tea at The Savoy was perfect from start to finish. The staff at reception took great photos, the aesthetic ladies room is fresh and cozy, and Danny, our server, was exceptional. He was welcoming, witty and very very very charmingwith the growling voice like Colin Farrell and cracking tash like the hot villain Donald Pierce in Wolverine movie, and even shared that his sister was also planning a wedding, which put us at ease. Danny gave a congratulatory chocolate treat to the bride-to-be. He expertly explained the different teas and kept our cups filled nonstop. Danny’s attention to detail was superb. He swapped the chicken to salmon for our pescatarian friend. Despite the busy Foyer, he was always available and ensured we had everything we needed. Everything ran smoothly and nothing felt rushed. We rate the experience over 9000 out of 10. We left with great memories for a lifetime.
