Went here yesterday with some close friends for a get together and I can only say positive things. Our server Autumn was lovely, chatty and friendly. Nothing seemed like too much of a problem for them to do for us. Dani, who brought over some of our order, was also right friendly. Food was grand, first beef burger I've had in a long while and I enjoyed it. Desserts good too! Would reccomend and go back again if I was in Newcastle. :
Took family for a meal after the match, food was average and the service was great. I asked for my steak rare, but it came over cooked, it wasn't a nice cut of sirloin either, very tough. It was well presented though and the service was excellent. The kids had wings and fries, which were great, as was my wife's halloumi. Might try again.
Server was friendly, and not his fault but service was slow. Other staff were a little inattentive and gloomy. Sesame chicken was very good. Lettuce on the side was not fresh. Cleaning liquids and other materials on the next table to ours. Overall, they need to step up their game.
We were a group of 5 for bottomless brunch: unfortunately there just wasn't enough food we were all still starving afterwards. Find it a bit annoying that group of 5 gets same amount of food as a group of 4 would get yet we still paid for 5 heads? Cocktails were nice but they took so long to arrive only had time for a few before the 2 hours were up. Won't be back as just not worth it for what you get in here : staff nice enough but they seemed to be in no rush to take the empty glasses away
Came here to TGI Fridays for lunch with my friend, been here many times before. Our server Rebekka was lovely and always had a smile. We ordered items from the set lunch menu and also from the main menu. The order was taken but it took 45mins for any food to be served even though we saw dishes sitting on the pass for ages. We take advantage of the 241 cocktail offer aswell which was delicious, wish I could have tried all of them. The sesame chicken strips was amazing, could have done with more sauce on it as it was abit dry and unevenly coated. My friend order the sesame strips and burger which was a generous portion for the 2 course. Love how you get options of so many upgrades for fries. The menu selection has a little bit of everything so there is something for everyone. I would say overall it's on the pricey side but no bad for a catch up with friends. Took a while to ask for the bill and pay but I could see it was quite busy so just waited.
The food was great and the staff were lovely. Was a very chilled out vibe which was nice. Also came out cheaper then I expected!Food: 5/5
Good food and drinks , little disappointed In the service , arrived and was told the heating was broken which was fine but it seemed like the host was trying to scare people off , ordered relatively quickly , unfortunately got served food before drink despite the restaurant being relatively empty, then I realised my food hadn’t come with the correct fries , we had no check backs through starters or mains to bring up the error , it wasn’t a big deal so I ate them regardless however I was still charged for them on my bill at the end. This was solved when brought up with staff but just felt things could’ve gone better.
A pretty standard Fridays experience to be fair. The staff were polite and friendly enough, but we felt they took too long to take our orders which wasn't helped that we could see them standing around, chatting and making balloon animals. For a match day, the rest of the service was pretty quick, although we did arrive a bit early. Food was good, again, pretty standard Fridays affair. The burger did feel like it had been stood for a while, but it wasnt bad and we did have three orders.
I went here on Friday night. Lots of free space, but the employee asked us to wait for 20 minutes to clean the table!! I counted at least 2 more waiter/waitresses and 2 other bartenders who were doing nothing!! Really! 20 mins to clean a table. We walked away. Lots more choices in Eldon sq., Thankfully. Young employees not bothered to work!
I had never visited TGI Fridays before and was with a group of people who wanted to eat there so I was looking forward to it. I was initially disappointed upon entering as I felt that the Interior was quite generic and I could have been in any big chain. My disappointment was soon dismissed though, as the quality of service, friendliness of staff and quality of food was excellent. The waitress was very friendly and helpful and was attentive to us throughout the meal. I had the sesame chicken strip starter and a glazed burger main and I was very impressed with the taste and quantity of the food. I left full up and satisfied.
