Absolute disgrace, my friends and I are all well over 18 and visibly so. I by myself went up to buy some drinks for me, I was firstly accused of being with some other ‘Irish girls’ number one I’m not Irish they must think all northern Irish girls or even girls dressed the same must be associated with each other, was refused service after presenting my legit UK ID. Told them I would wait for my friend who went back to the hotel to collect hers. My friend who came up behind me who is killed with hayfever tried to purchase paracetamol and again was refused service. The server a lady with blonde hair told us to sit down and wait for her manager then spoke over the radio and said come down here these girls are really nasty. I told her I didn’t care about the drinks just the tablets for my friend who is so sick. Then the manager Mark approached us very unhelpful, blunt and unprofessional and then accused us of being students which we aren’t we are all full time work and find this offensive. I myself am a manager in a restaurant and have never in my life refused service to 3 girls with 3 valid IDs. Once all 4 of use presented our IDs the blonde server then again refused us service and told someone else to ‘deal with us’. Thanks to the young man who did then serve us he was very helpful. Avoid at all costs.
I believe you, dear reader, would join me in leaving a five star review if you were also a lover of two principle activities; the first, is the use of Evri's parcel service to dispatch and distribute your parcels, and secondly, if you are enthusiastic about the walk ~15 minutes, cycle ~4 minutes and/or drive ~3 minutes, traffic dependent to the nearby establishment 'Mr V's' of Holly Avenue where the Evri label printer is maintained to the dizzying heights of basic functionality ability to print labels.nnI would like to thank Tesco Express of Acorn Road for allowing me to regularly exercise my penchant for wasting my own time in having to go to Mr V's on all but very few of the occasions I require use of the Evri service.
Has everything you need in a pinch, Plus the lady who often works early mornings and I sometimes talk to when I pop in on my way to work is really kind too :
I had an absolutely awful experience at Tesco today 22/10/2024 around 9pm. After accidentally scanning an extra item after paying at the self-checkout, I was stopped by security, which was fine. The security guard was polite, and I was showing him my receipt when another worker—brunette, glasses, buzzcut—suddenly shouted at me, “You didn’t pay for it!” in a rude and aggressive tone.nnAs a young woman shopping alone, I felt threatened and humiliated by his unnecessary outburst. I was already cooperating, and his behavior was completely uncalled for. This kind of public humiliation and unprofessional attitude is unacceptable. Tesco, this employee needs serious training—his behavior was disgraceful, and I expect better from your staff.
had the same problems as other people are having in the reviews. extremely rude lady who worked there, gave very abrupt answers when asked questions, acted as though it was an inconvenience to ask her stuff even though her entire job is in customer service. i was completely fine towards her, until she started acting rude unprovoked. snatched items out of my hand and also shouted in front of the entire shop. don’t go here, very unwelcoming vibe overall, from students too
