I shopped here today with my little girl, we got home and discovered she'd left her beloved unicorn at the shops, we went back and the front desk said it hadn't been handed in, we retraced our steps but didn't find it, I went back to front desk planning to ask if I could leave my number in case the unicorn was handed in. The Scottish blonde old woman on the front desk waited until it was my turn, I said hello she looked me in the eye and logged off and turned away. Vile. Who does that to a crying child. Train your staff to care about your customers.
Did not have a very good customer experience last night at Tesco Extra North Shields. After being on a 12 hour shift at work I thought I would go straight and get my shopping to save me coming out tomorrow. After getting a full trolley of shopping I went to the checkout and see only the self scanning open. I asked the member of staff if someone could open a checkout which has happened before but I was told that does not happen now after 10.00 pm. At this point I felt like just leaving the trolley as I don't use these self scanning services even when shopping during the day as I have never agreed with them. It was only the thought of the busy staff having to return every thing back that stopped me. During the scanning I had to call the extremely busy member of staff at least six times with machine queries. We had to keep moving full bags onto the floor as there was not enough space and no room in the trolley for the bags as it was still being emptied. I felt after doing a long day in my own job I then had to come and do Tesco's job for them also. Sorry it has been such a long rant but I feel the customer service is not very good with these changes and I feel it is just trying to save money using less staff which is not good.
This is my local tesco, I'm always very impressed with the produce that can be found inside this store. The fruit and veg are always very fresh they are also reasonably priced and sometimes you will find some exotic fruit that you may never have heard of before I love buying and trying new fruit I haven't even heard of until that day. The meat is always reasonably priced too and the quality is always fantastic. My favourite part is the clothes section I often find some heavily reduced clothing for next to nothing you can get a real bargain. The staff are always very friendly and very helpful I truly love nipping into tesco when needed.
I was served by a young man today I think his name was Mathew. I shop in all different supermarkets but this man was so kind and helpful and his customer skills were amazing.he was working on checkout 017 at 3pm.i was so impressed with his lovely costumer manner, I have spoke to many about him.you are very lucky to have him Tesco. He could show alot of staff all over the country how to treat costumers. I will be returning more often after my amazing service today. I never post anything like this but I am really overwhelmed how thoughtful he was.
Just used their click and collect. Terribly slow and what a faff. Would be quicker to go into the shop and do it yourself. Nice enough delivery but takes too long. won't be returning
Car park is ridiculous in busy periods. Spend more time trying to get out than in the shop. Tesco need to have staff helping traffic get out. Do not go near at busy times. Total lack of interest in customer experience.
Canny big shop with lots of depts to choose from. Quite a big clothing area which is good but most of the sizes are small. There's a decent drinks selection and a bakery. You can park in the giant carpark at the back for free. There's a restaurant inside with toilets. You can also visit timpsons on site for keys or passport photos!
It's freezing in here, even all the staff are walking around with their jackets on. I would hate to have to work in here, being cold all day. Turn up the heating!

Based on restaurant experience. A healthy good for you breakfast choice yield crispy spinach!!!? Train your staff to cook if you put them on a counter serving food, poor guy didn't know what I meant when I said it wasn't even cooked so he chucked it in a microwave and made it crispy, Really really crispy, really really poor. sadface
