Let's see then ...nPrices = horrendousnStaff = awfulnCar park is horrendous, the store is dirty, all the food is half thawed out, it wasn't even frozen out of the frozen range. Tesco give a free moan to everyone, courtesy of the management. There was mouldy bread sitting around, eggs thrown around on the floor, milk was burst. Not enough tills for everyone. Toilets we're horrid. Staff lacked a smile.nGood thing I'm not coming here again.
I was in the Widnes store, grabbing a few bits… and I asked the lady at the kiosk if it was okay to pay for those bits at the kiosk and get my lottery at the same time… she said “yes, that’s fine”… I proceeded to get my items… I showed the lady my QR Tesco club card stored on my phone which I have used for years and also used in other stores without issue… the lady said “do I have the actual card with me as she won’t accept it being on my phone” I stated “why not as I can just go to self service and use it” she stated that “she’s not accepting it” so I replied “I would take it up with head office as never had this before in a Tesco”…nnI was made to feel like an idiot where unable to be allowed to use my QR card on my phone and holding up the queue when I used the exact same QR code on my phone again after this in a different store???nnThe stores are pretty much the same everywhere BUT the attitude and service by the staff member really makes a difference.
Can i just take the opportunity to thank the lovely staff at Tesco's Widnes, for their quick response to my wife having a medical emergency yesterday. All the staff who work in the cafe and Kelly the first aider were absolutely first class and i cant thank them enough. Sandra is doin well, thanks to your quick response and intervention. Thanks again.
Used to love this as a store to shop at until I met Marie who works at this store.nnSomeone had come in to make a purchase but they weren’t sure if it could happen, they were polite and sincere with her, with no standoff-ish behaviour.nnOn the latter, Marie was very agitated, angry and also threatened to fire a member of staff due to issues with an amount bought.nnSelfish, disgusting and vile if you ask me. Something innocent, turned into a major issue with this staff member.nnI would suggest that she be the one to be fired as it seems she doesn’t know how to deal with either customers or staff, in a customer facing role.
Avoid the cafe unless you want to be treated inhumanly. Ordered a brunch burger - came uncooked, pink and raw. Addressed the issue and was made to feel as if it was my problem. Then spent the rest of my time there being stared at and spoken about by staff. Awful customer service, should send in some secret shoppers so you can experience it for yourself. Rude rude people.
