This Tesco location in Nottingham displayed behavior that no customer should ever experience.nnMy husband had just finished evangelistic meetings in Sheffield and became quite ill during our short stopover before heading to Wales. I went to this store to purchase cold and pain relief medication along with some food. At checkout, an alarm went off due to the limit on pain relievers, something I wasn’t familiar with as a visitor from the U.S. The security officer and attendant explained, and I completed the transaction without issue.nnWhat happened next was far more troubling. While arranging transportation, I accidentally left my husband’s bank card in the machine. Within two minutes, I returned to the front desk to retrieve it. Despite clearly describing the card, showing my ID with the same last name, and explaining the situation, I was rudely and dismissively refused by the manager/supervisor. They stated that because the card had my husband’s name on it, they would not return it, even though it had just been left moments earlier.nnThe next morning, when my sick husband and I returned, the staff again made things difficult, this time falsely claiming there was no name on the card. When it was finally returned, we discovered the section with his name and details had been deliberately torn off, making it impossible to verify ownership.nnThis was not a misunderstanding. It was blatant misconduct and what strongly felt like racial discrimination. What should have been a simple, compassionate interaction during a vulnerable moment was instead met with hostility, dishonesty, and damage to personal property.nnThis was not just poor service; it was discrimination. For a globally recognized brand like Tesco, this behavior is unacceptable. I truly hope management takes this incident seriously. No customer should ever be treated this way because of the color of their skin.
Racist staff and ill mannered store manager i went in there to get pain killers for me and my 16 Yr old as he just had his braces tightened and the staff surrounded me like I was a drug dealer because I didn't understand why I could buy both when I asked for there names they refused one member called me a liar stating I didn't ask for a manager just a colleague and made out I was being aggressive because I'm a black women when I then spoke to the manager Laura she just kicked me out stating this is her shop after I was trying to get there names to make a complaint I then asked the man Adam to file my complaint he said he will be it won't go nowhere .... I understand druggies buy all the pain killers but not everyone buying paracetamol is on drugs and even if they where that doesn't give these workers he excuse to treat them how I was treated today.. I get you have to do you shopping but just becareful because if you have a problem with one of them they all gang up on you
rows of staff smoking at the side of the building next to a ramp where disabled people and pushchairs with babies and small children have to pass also smoking bin placed right by the entrance of the store where customers have to pass. while I don't want to stop people being able to smoke if they wish it would be nice to think Tesco valued the health of their customers as some people are affected by smoke or may not want to be inhaling it. Have spoken to Tesco And head office and nothing has been done
A lot of poor quality fresh veg, fresh loaves? I don't think so! Never enough checkouts open, plenty of staff walking around and taking no notice, it's got to be down to bad management!
Antisocial staff gathering at the self check out its crap when im with my kids and the staff dont talk or even make eye contact % bad vibes. Not a good example for the next generation and these people get paid too what a joke
