I am very disappointed with the level of customer service I received at this Co-op shop. From the moment I approached the staff member, her attitude was unfriendly and unprofessional. Instead of greeting me politely or offering help, she spoke to me in a very rough and dismissive manner. Her tone was sharp and unpleasant, as if I was inconveniencing her simply by asking a question.nnGood customer service is about treating people with respect, patience, and basic courtesy. Unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit. I felt rushed, ignored, and made to feel as though my presence was more of a bother than anything else. The negative attitude and lack of care really stood out, especially because I usually shop at the Co-op expecting a welcoming and community-focused environment.nnA shop is not just about selling products – it’s also about the experience customers have while shopping. Being spoken to in such a rough and unhelpful way completely ruined the experience for me. I left the store feeling upset and undervalued as a customer.nnI hope management takes this feedback seriously, because rude and dismissive behavior drives loyal customers away. A little politeness, patience, and respect would go a long way in making sure people feel comfortable and appreciated when shopping at the Co-op.
The staff member’s performance on the tills has not met the expected standard. There have been repeated issues with providing accurate change, scanning items correctly, and maintaining consistent customer service. These mistakes have led to delays at checkout and complaints from customers. Greater attention to detail, better focus during transactions, and improved communication with customers are needed to ensure a smoother checkout experience.
Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The employee named Jane was beyond rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. Instead of offering assistance, she acted like customers were an inconvenience. Shocking attitude from someone in customer service. If this is the standard Co-op hires, it says a lot about how little they value their customers.
2025.08.22 08:15AMnTerrible customer service from the cashier woman Jane, generating the bill with incorrect prices and still giving me rude responses. When I tried to inquire about the bill, she showed her disappointment and impatience, saying “What!!” “What do you want?”, instead of acknowledging the mistakes she has made and taking corrective actions promptly.nnProblems:n- the prices aren’t the same as they mentioned on the shelves member pricen- member card’s offers and rewards aren’t applied at the checkoutn- charge for a bag although I didn’t ask for one and she didn’t even handed a single onennWhoever shopping in this store should always ask the bill and check the prices. Anyhow, you might still experience unhelpful and awful customer service, even it is their careless mistake.
This Co-op store really suffers from a lack of space. The aisles are so narrow it is hard to get down them when other people are browsing. The layout is terrible. I would only recommended going in for essentials. Not a good place to shop. Usually only one staff member on a till so can get busy. Store has no parking other than road outside which can be full. Has cash machine outside.
