I cannot rave enough about the exceptional service Angela provided at Tesco. Not only did she expertly assist my family and me with our shopping needs, but her warmth, politeness, and genuine kindness towards my young daughter left a lasting impression. Angela's bright smile and wealth of knowledge made our experience truly delightful. When I realized I forgot my wallet, she not only covered £3 of my purchase but did so with such grace and generosity. Despite my insistence on reimbursing her, she refused, simply wanting to make our day better. Angela's dedication to customer satisfaction and genuine care for each individual she serves make her an invaluable asset to Tesco. We are immensely grateful for her outstanding service and look forward to seeing her friendly face again soon!
Tesco claim it's a safe space for Transgender customers but I'm often bullied in this place particularly on the ground floor were there is no security. I'm also Autistic and recently had a meltdown that just for a split moment was explosive. It's not something I do EVER, but considering I'm only human who has disabilities then it will happen especially when security do nothing even though I mentioned the bullying before. In fact I was given a warning by a security guard because I had a meltdown in the lift due to being bullied. He told me to go outside instead because someone complained against me. Obviously security and other customers have no awareness about Autism or what it's like when a meltdown hits. I can't just turn them off because it's inconvenient for other customers. I often feel scared when I go Tesco and never feel safe. My anxiety is always high and when I return home I'm often burnt-out from my shopping experience. I expect nothing from security as there number one priority is to protect Tesco profits not it's customers. I even emailed customer service but I've gotten no reply which shows me how concerned Tesco are about bullying and serious they take such issues. All I want is to shop in peace and be given the same respect as anyone else.
I usually go through the self service checkout tills however a few weeks ago I was exhausted from a long day at work and I chose to go through one of the staffed checkouts. The staff member was called Asti and he was an absolute pleasure, he was extremely polite, professional and genuinely considerate. I was so impressed with his demeanour that I chose to go back to his checkout again this week when I saw he was on shift and it was lovely that he remembered me. He really is a credit to Tesco as there are so many staff members who I personally think are ignorant and have very poor customer service skills. I can’t remember the last time I saw a staff member who looked happy and smiled at me. When I’ve needed assistance at the self service checkouts I’ve felt like I’ve been a nuisance to the staff, especially if there’s been 2 staff members there and they’re deep in conversation or when I’ve been there in the evening and the staff member is on her phone and she makes it clear that she doesn’t appreciate having to come over and help me. So, I truly believe that Asti should receive some recognition his manager for providing the service that customers need when there are so many other staff members who very clearly don’t. I hope that Asti gets commended for this review.
So, just went in to purchase a pair of jeans. Selected the item I wanted to try on...... only to find that they don't have the facility to try garments on. Even though, it looks like they have at some point had fitting rooms.nLost a sale there.nExperience with this store gets worse.and worse
Just left Tesco with a big smile on my face. What a lovely experience. The staff were superb - my daughter was greeted with a big smile by the bearded staff member overlooking Santa’s grotto. Balderstone Band were playing inside - they were talkative and friendly. Lots of space with things well presented and stocked. Glad I travelled from blackburn to the accrington Tesco!
