Spent £19.20 at self service checkout then realised I needed change so queued at tills. Was told they would not change a note for me as it was 'company policy' despite me saying I was a customer. I should have had one of the items I had just bought refunded so I could buy it again to change the note, but couldn't be bothered with the hassle. Bad customer service and ill thought out policy (if it is indeed meant to be applied in this way). Not impressed at all.

Can you please make sure that your employees check the money that is handed to them before they rush into cashing and telling people that the £10 note I gave them is a £5, and the solution is coming back tomorrow morning while they count the money, no body likes wasting money and it could've been just a customer who is passing through, we all make mistakes but at least Managers should have enough training as to take the customer's number to call if the till was up £5, or take the till to count the money, I mean plenty of solutions but no, we have to go for the easy which is rush to kick the customer out!
