What an absolutely stunning facility for everyone to use! One of the best play areas in a long way!! Quite frankly, a world class play area and that says a lot having been to play parks around the world! Great bike tracks and so close to the Telford Shopping Centre for all the food and shopping g you can do on top of the day at the park! Definitely worth many visits!!
Lovely park have to walk through for work etc it’s kept very clean and it’s lovely in all seasons of the year! Quite a few different walks of the town park as well, a big playground for children and it’s right next to town so it’s walkable also has a food and drinks stand, not sure when this is open though and has the visitor centre next to the playground. Nice park to visit
If you are in Telford, you have to visit the Town Park off Southwater, it's an amazing space full of foot & bike tracks, places for the kids to visit including the Exotic Zoo & Wonderland. Lots of areas to enjoy picnics looking over ponds & water features. Playground: Fantastic play areas for the kids with lots of seating. Dog-friendliness: Lots of tracks around the park, ideal for dog walking. Picnic area: Loads of seating & picnic benches scattered throughout the park.
Beautiful park, so many play areas for children, sensory play, sand pit, climbing frames, traditional playgrounds and they are also divided and built for all age groups. My son had an amazing time here, it's also super close to the centre where there are restaurants, coffee shops and the shopping centre, all in walking distance. I want to add that although visiting over Christmas time every play area, public toilet, shops were so so so clean. We are definitely coming back in the near future.
What a beautiful park in Telford. So many activities for young people. A large lake with wild life apparent. Short walk from Holiday Inn Hotel to shopping centre through the park. Plenty of eating places. Excellent base to visit other attractions in the area e.g. Blists Hill Victorian Village, Ironbridge, Coalport China Museum and Bridgenorth another historical town with a Fernicular Rail. I bought a Pass Plus ticket for £37 which entitles me to a yearly pass and 10% in cafe and some shops. Definitely another visit needed.
Telford Town Park is a beautiful part of Shropshire on the edge of this modern town. Ideal for short/long walks, cycling, jogging, dog walking etc. Also beautiful lakes where fishing is possible on some of them. Easy access too to Southwater and the shopping mall. Very enjoyable and worth a visit.
Beautiful area, lots of interesting things to see and fab for geo caching
Decent, clean, well run big hotel. Didn't try the restaurant but took breakfast, which was a buffet help yourself affair and fab. This coffee out of the self service machine. Breakfast for us was included in the room price... You'll decide whether the £15 a head is worth it if you pay in the day I would say not unless expenses are picking up the bill.... We had a double double for myself and two kids. Room was fine. Has controllable heating and air con. Bathroom clean. TV has usb connection if you like to bring some films with you etc. All in all, I would stay there again for the same money which was around £85 the one night.
Not very good when there is no toilets open over the Christmas weekend and bank holidays and you have to go and walk over the the main shopping area ur go take kids up a bush . Not very hygienic for anyone nor visitors to the park . Play area are tidy and well thought out , plenty stuff for all ages . Just the toilet problem needs to be more thought out especially if you have younger children who can't hold their bladders.
Clean and tidy,an enjoyable space to spend time with family and friends.
