Spent one night here ,attending a wedding in the area. Warm and friendly greeting on arrival. Room was very clean and modern. Tea and coffee in room. Had dinner with family members 11 in total. Service was quick and efficient. Food was very good. Busy and popular restaurant and bar. Would highly recommend for short stay. Also very reasonable price as room included table service breakfast. Rooms: Basic but clean
We were greeted at the door by Mary and immediately noted her excellent customer service. Dad has dementia and she was patient and kind with him even though the venue was busy., She is efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. I think she said she has 57 years experience. Not once did we have to ask for anything as she preemps customer needs. Her attention to detail is exemplary. I have not seen this level of delivery standards in Ireland in decades. Old school. The food was also really really good and I am not a dessert person but Mary talked us into having the delicious bread and butter pudding. She is a terrific asset to the team. Great selection of vegetarian options. Reasonable prices compared to Dublin. Venue spotless and tables cleaned between courses. Really great dining experience .
Lovely place and conveniently located for all places of interest nearby. Food is very nice and the staff are the same, very helpful. Had considered one of the more expensive hotels for my couple of days but I’m so glad I stayed at Balreask instead.Rooms: 4/5
Cannot speak highly enough of the accommodation food and service. The staff could not do enough to accommodate our requirements. We were a mixture of Irish English Scottish and one Kiwi . Every spoke of how tasty our food was and how nice the staff were . A really enjoyable two night stay . Great time had by all .
Friendly bar staff ..well looked after by dem. good entertainment..not happy with the food ..payed 300euro for finger food..probably received bout 50euro worth ..and was not d food I ordered ..was not left out on table long enough as some people didn't get any ..wasn't offered wat was left ...should have been given my moneys worth 2 take home r even a discount...probably recieved d food frm previous event which only ended an hour b4 we arrived..so decorations went up late also ...can't see myself doin it again der
Went for Sunday lunch which consisted of 7 adults Lunch was Carvery,we had to queue but the queue moved fairly quickly, the menu had the usual dishes on offer,Salmon,Roast Beef and Turkey and Ham with vegetables, the food was cold and presented on a smaller than regular plate in a very unappetising way ,vegetables and potatoes and gravy was just piled on top of the meat The desserts were OK but the Baileys cheesecake was definitely not homemade Overall it was a very disappointing meal.,However the cost of the meal and drinks were fairly average, the Lunch room was very busy and their was a good atmosphere in the busy venue on a Sunday Afternoon its a pity about the taste and presentation of the food
I am literally just home from a two night stay in Balreask and I am thrilled with the service in its entirety. The rooms were spacious, warm and spotlessly clean. Check in was easy and efficient. Guntars manager looked after so well a group of 15 and has "made for the hospitality industry" running through his veins. Everything was accommodated with a smile. The staff Anita, Mary and Ingrid were the friendliest waiting staff I have encountered. Great banter and chats as they served us and a credit to the hospitality industry. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this venue for food, accommodation and service. Thanks for making us so welcome and for making our weekend get together the best experience it could be. Vegetarian options: lots of variety available.
Service is excellent. Lunch was excellent. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back.Service: 4/5
The food was great, and the staff were very kind and helpfulService: 5/5
A very well ran clean Bar restaurant and Guest house on the outskirts of Navan, the staff are very professional friendly and helpful, Great pints lovely top quality food, lovely comfortable guest rooms for affordable prices, the bar is a fun place with good craic to be had! If your coming to stay in Navan to use it as a base to visit all the historical and tourist attractions that Meath has two offer this would definitely be a good choice!
