Can’t fault the service which was attentive and friendly from the owner. 5 stars there. Here are my suggestions for improvement; Put a door between the entrance door and the restaurant to keep the heat in on a cold day. Put a door between the washing up area and the eating area. There does appear to be a sliding door already fitted but left open. In addition, it has a glazed panel. People in the dining area should not really be able to see staff washing up whilst eating. Jazz the decor up - maybe with some colourful picture. At present it’s ok but could look better. Food wise can’t comment too much, save for what I had as a mains - octopus stew - was good but very small portion. This would be more what I would have expected as a starter size. If these can considered, then I for one, would come back and recommend to others. Cheers.

A big thank you to Taylor's for fantastic food & service for our party of four this evening. What a gem of a restaurant - thank you for beautifully presented food at great prices- what a charming place. Very friendly, warm service with a smile - something of a lost art when considering certain other establishments. Just brilliant - thank you !

It was a lovely meal and a very good beer. Very nice the little restaurant and very kind the owner. Next time I will be in Hastings sure I will return. Greetings from Italy.Elena

Fantastic food and excellent service. Even washed out the crab shell for my little boy who wanted to paint it. Will be visiting again the next time we are in Hastings. Fully recommend going there.
