Story

Fagins family restaurant in the heart of the famous and historic Old Town of Hastings first opened its doors way back in 1981 and we are proud to boast that we are now the longest established restaurant in George Street and count amongst the oldest established businesses in the Old Town.

We are child friendly offering a special menu for the little ones and to accomodate smaller offspring there is a highchair.

Disabled access is easy with the main resturant being at street level and no steps to contend with but unfortunately our toilets are not equipped for the disabled.

Over the long time that we have been trading it has been a deliberate policy not to make too many changes to the main menu, there is nothing worse than going to a restaurant expecting to order your favourite dish and finding that it is no longer available. And all credit to our policy because our menu has remained remarkably unchanged and still exceedingly popular. We believe this is because there is something on the menu for everyone. A tasty selection of starters, at least three different cuts of steaks, pizzas made from fresh dough that we make each day in our kitchen, homemade lasagne verdi, spaghetti with our own bolognaise, seafood or vegetable sauces, fried chicken and 100% beef burgers. All orders are served in generous portions and many come with side orders of french fries, croquettes or baked jacket potato and most are accompanied with a salad. If there is nothing to tempt you on the main menu then have a look at the specials menu which changes on a regular basis. To accompany your meal there is a good selection of wines at reasonable prices and to finish choose from a selection of deserts that include perenial favourites like hot chocolate fudgecake, bannana split or deep filled apple pie or more exotic items like lemon brulee.
