Ordered the Big Stack burger, asked for no salad and no sauce. The burger didn't contain any but still put coleslaw on the plate. Ordered a portion of loaded onion rings which when arrived had extra sauce that I did not order, I then asked the waitress what the other sauce is but she didn't know so went and asked someone else. Turned out to be BBQ sauce, I was not asked if I was fine with that on, the waitress just walked away. When my plate was taken away the dish of the loaded onion rings was still full and they took it away as if it was empty. Not just 1 waitress ignored the fact I hadn't touched the onion rings but 3 different ones in total yet nothing was done about it. The ice cream sundae took as long if not longer to arrive than the main meal.
Restaurant is big enough so no worries about making booking. they already didn't have Christmas menu on boxing day, why they had Christmas menus on the table's cant understand...pretty confusing. Menus dirty and sticky, we was waiting 45 minutes for a 2 meals . I had curry it was ok just the rice not nice at all Staff was nice they do the best they can .. when full its quite noisy place
Despite being just before Christmas, the restaurant was unusually quiet. Booking a table was easy enough and the menu had plenty of options. We were especially impressed with the ability to choose from a gluten free menu with additional options for dairy free requirements. The meal was pleasant enough, and any issues with the meals were rectified one meal came out part cold, as though it had been cooked too soon. Staff were helpful enough throughout our visit. Whilst our visit wasn't the best, I would happily try the establishment again to find out if different staffing changes the experience. Dietary restrictions: Dietary restrictions were very well catered for. A gluten free menu is available with options for making the meals dairy free too.
Such a shame, I have been here a few times over the years bit last night has made me re think about if I want to return again. In the past we have never had a problem apart from the odd time we have waited longer than usual and that kind of thing I can understand. Last night started fine. Good choice on the menu as you find with this chain. It started going down bank when I went to order the food. My daughter aged 9 wanted flat bread for starter with rump steak, chips corn and peas, no flatbread had been brought to her, I also asked for my main to come without coleslaw but guess what that never happened. Just small things make a big difference. The last thing which could of been so easy to make a big difference was when I asked for the drinks. My wife is diabetic so I asked if she could have the Berry blast cocktail but instead of using standard lemonade with sugar in could it be replaced with the sugar free variant you sell. I was told that this was not possible and I would have to pay extra for the lemonade on top. Wow. What a great service given there. It really brought a downer on the eating out experience and made me question if I had been listened to. Just as my daughter was eating her pancakes at the very end a waitress came over and then asked if she had finished and if she could take the plate. She had not even finished eating it. I have no idea if its down to change of management but you really can tell a drop in the service and quality.
Enjoyed a lunch time booking with friends here running towards Christmas 2022. Great food, helpful staff, nice clean setting. We chose from the back of the menu having the 2 for £8.99 day time offering and were very happy with the selection, portion size and quality. A big thumbs up. We shall definitely be returning. Kid-friendliness: A small safe play area monitored by cameras so you can see your child enjoying the play area whilst you relax with a drink. Parking: A reasonable car park just outside though on a busy evening it could be difficult to park as it's not particularly big. Wheelchair accessibility: Level access. Disabled WC which appears to be equipped with the specified rails etc
We have eaten many times here. While the food maybe mediocre we have never complained. Yesterday however although there were only two other couples in we waited 30 minutes for our meal. We were ok with that it was delivered cold I politely told the waitress and she took it away. She put it in front of us again and it was still cold. Except for a little piece in the middle. At this point we gave up and left. I think we shall maybe give this place a miss in future. The management seems to have taken a nose dive sadly.
Here is a Restaurant People are entitled to have different views. I looked out on passing Talke pits traffic high quality taxis and lorries. One of my 4 husbands with me looked only at the Lady dining at the next table old woman aged between 56 and 60 is my guess. We tried to make friends with the other guests. Chloe stood up and sang the national anthem beautifully as loud as she could. The waiters and then the Manager had nothing good to say, not the slightest round of applause. In the circumstance, I thought the silence was selfish and unkind. The Police had a completely different attitude. The ice cream was to cold Overall, who cares. I really don't like Ice cream that much. However, Chloe loves onion rings do the pure taste of grease after her fantastic singing efforts did not go down well. After spending 300 pound coins in the child’s ball novelty conning toy display I was very dissatisfied that I didn’t get the correct paw patrol character Interestingly the staff gave me a free packet of pork scratchings I felt that this was the highlight of Dinner at redwood . I shall be returning often and Chloe will sing whenever she wants. Ok ? But we expect a round of applause and for the child’s play area to have more balls to add to the fun. Xxxx
We dine here two to three times per week, cannot fault it for the money. 12 noon till 6 pm two meals £8:99 as of this review. Brill Staff top marks.Food: 5/5
I can't believe you can mess up scrambles eggs, but you can it seems. The burger was dry, the curry had no spices, I could go on. I think only the starters were acceptable. The food just wasn't good.
We had a lovely meal here last night for my daughters 18th birthday. Food was lovely , staff friendly and happy especially the lady with a princess crown think she may have been the manager ,atmosphere lovely good size food portions. mixed grill and gammon we can recommend.Food: 5/5
