An excellent building which not only blends with the St Ives character, but also succeeds in capturing the essence of the light for which St Ives is famous. The art is good too, and the staff friendly and helpful. Shop and cafe on site. Ability to book on line and save time if there's a queue. There's a car park nearby, but it is best to avoid St Ives if driving.

Wonderful Gallery set in a wonder location by the sea. Had a wonderful meal at the Cafe there, and was greeted and waited on by the most friendly and wonderful staff member called Breezy. We will be back, even if its to experience the wonderful food looking out to the sea.

The most wonderful place. Present exhibition re Virginia Woolf excellent. The view across the rooftops of St Ives is beautiful. The beach outside is worth a quick walk, though some of the blocks of flats facing the beach were lucky to get planning permission.

The gallery was absolutely fantastic especially the Virginia Woolf exhibition. Staff were mostly great APART from the awful rude man at the front desk. I had bought my tickets on line and showed him the receipt on my phone and he said that was not good enough as I should have printed them. I was so shocked at this reception! He said there was nothing he could do and I had to buy more tickets. After a while another woman then came along and said No that's absolutely fine, sorry, sorry etc. He should be retrained or frankly, sacked. He really upset me and my daughter. I hope this will be rectified.

Modern arts from local and world renowned artists. This Tate collection focuses on the works of artists that lived in the bustling St Ives. But also showes the works of grand names which influenced the local arts scene. The building itself is an artwork and it's worth a visit on its own.
