It's a medium ramen. It's a take away so you lose a bit of the experience. Plastic cup, plastic cutlery. The meat is good, sauce could be a bit more flavoured, really enjoyed the alga / sea weed. The egg should be less cooked. The beer is not bad
Really excellent ramen. Lots of care in each ingredient, the pork isn't just slices of grey meat but a lovely herb crusted belly. Their vegan options are some of the best I've ever had, really worth a visit.
The ramen is phenomenal, especially for the low price £9 for the samurai iberico miso - their standard tontoksu but with a miso tare. I finished the whole bowl, and will definitely be returning. Worth a visit for sure even if you aren't in the area. They have other side dishes too, but the ramen is the main event.
The smallest ramen I've ever seen. Indigrients are super cheap and don't even relate to real ramen. Tiny amount of hard chicken and incredibly normal noodles and mediocre taste in relation to other ramen places. Highly disappointed. They've spent the least amount of money on food here. Long conclusion - I can't even call it a ramen. Not authentic in any sense of the word.
Flavour was ok, service was a tad abrupt. Biggest issue was the being left hungry after spending £9. Very small amounts of pork and half an egg is not going to suppress one's appetite all afternoon. Edit: this is probably an accumulation of frustration with the value vs price issue when buying lunch generally within London.
I thought this place was pretty good. I am vegetarian so went for one of the 3 vegan choices and thought the broth was a bit salty but tasted fine. The serving portion was alright too. I just wished there was a bit more protein aside from tahini like tofu. Otherwise, for the price, I was happy.
The broth is good but the manners of the service is not worth it. We were at the end of the service and they went out of Char Siu but didn't inform us when they delivered the bowl. When we asked, first they lied that the meat was in the broth and secondly that the menu was a typing error. Their behaviour just ruined everything. I hate to deal with dishonest service. When they realized that we weren't being convinced by their lies, they proposed to reimburse us with an upset tone as if we were too stupid to understand their explanation.
Have not had the ramen yet but the service is already making me reconsider. Upon attempting to order, was told that I had pronounced the ramen incorrectly, thank you for the lessons. Greatly appreciate it. Waiting for the day they realise they named their noodle bar after a form of flooring mat. And the broth was too light.
Noodle itself is tender, the broth is even worse than the instant noodle one. Charsiu and the egg are even worse.
Love the Ramen here. I'm always trying to come up with an excuse to pass this way so I can have this Ramen. My favorite is the white sesame. Even my non vegetarian friends like this more than meat Ramen. It's a bit pricey but I promise this one is totally worth it.
