I came here again early evening and as always received a warm welcome with quick service. There’s an amazing array of Japanese, extremely well priced dishes, from their signature Ramen to sandwiches and picky bits. A good selection of beers, cocktails and Japanese wine and sake. It’s so popular that people are happy to wait for a table as you can’t book. The turnover of tables is pretty fast in this bustling neighbourhood fave. Enjoy.
Great flavour, fast service, reasonable prices. Casual spot for quick lunch or dinner. Straightforward menu but definitely not super traditional. Sides are also worth giving them a try.
Hakata restaurant is great. You have to walk-in no upfront reservation available. We took a cocktail in the basement while waiting for our table ~40 minutes. We enjoy a bun then a delicious Ramen. I definitely recommend this place.
Staff, ambience, price and food; everything was perfectly in balance. They check regularly on you in a nice calm way and make sure you have everything. Hot and cold *vegan* specific options are available, so the one Ramen I had was delicious unique. Primarily, you have to pay by card otherwise you have to have the right amount in cash. Great experience, I definitely have to go there again! Hope others share my feedback. Vegetarian options: Vegan as well
Noticed this place while walking to our hotel from London Bridge station with my son. Glad we made the stop! $32.00 pounds later we had two bowls of Ramen, my son had a fried pork bun sandwich on a sweet bun. The staff was friendly. The washrooms were clean. Would definitely come back. It was quite filling and tasty. I got the spicy miso, but it wasn’t “too” spicy for me! She brought hot chilli paste and hot chilli oil for the table. Yummy
Such a good experience! Aubergine and Tofu Hirata were a total highlight! The starters in general, excellent friendly staff and the 1.75£ per scoop vegan gelato was the cherry on the top! Got very busy later on a Thursday
Good experience. We ordered the mushroom, + tofu bun, the aubergine bun, the spicy miso ramen and the kumamoto ramen. The quality was ok, expected it to be better and a bit more tasty. There was a fishy smell, but not that bad. The atmosphere is nice though and the location also great. We may give it another chance. Vegetarian options: Vegan ramen available
My first time in Bermondsey, such a lovely place. Im glad my colleague found this ramen shop. Luckily, there was not a queue when we went in to have our meal. We were greeted by the lovely staff, showed us to our seats, gave us their menu and set up our table. I ordered the KUMAMOTO. Why? GARLIC! I love garlic. So this was a 12 hour pork broth. The taste was very clean and the broth was very rich. It had wood ear mushrooms, garlic chips and burnt garlic oil. It was served with soy stained soft boiled egg, nori and slices of chashu + extra slice of chashu for me. The soup base was thick and the good thing is it could be enhanced more according to your taste preference. I kinda like my ramen base salty so I asked for some chili paste and I added in some freshly ground roasted sesame seeds. Perfect. We also ordered CHICKEN KATSU SANDO. It is japanese style hot sandwich. Chicken was very juicy, coated with breadcrumbs and deepfried to perfection. Accompanied by vegetables that have a little tang to offset the rich chicken juices. Then the bread, the bread... so soft fluffy and chewy. It was toasted to one side. If they were selling the bread, we wouldve bought a loaf to take home. HAKATA IS FAMOUS FOR - QUALITY ‘COMFORT FOOD’, SERVED IN A VIBRANT ATMOSPHERE WITH FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT SERVICE. As taken from their website, I would attest this statement. They take card payments. Toilet is clean. We did walk-in and was sat right away around 1300-1400 saturday Food came out fast and hot. 10-20 minute walk from the london bridge station Star rating Price 5/5 Food 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Service 5/5 Location 5/5
This has become my new favourite ramen place. All ramen for £9.95 each with great taste and lots of toppings to choose from. I’ll definitely visit again next time I’m in Bermondsey.
So good and tasty! I had one of the non vegan ramen as main sorry don’t remember the main and I was astonished by the mix of flavours and textures. Great cocktails too so I will definitely come again soon
