Small shop with some window seating and a large selection of cookies, cupcakes and ice-creams. Dogs are welcomed. We bought some lovely cupcakes and ice-cream which my son loved! Staff were really lovely and very knowledgeable on the area.
The best dessert shop in Hertford! Always fresh and gooey and so many flavours to choose from. They keep the menu exciting by adding new things. The service is fantastic on every occasion I’ve been in and the staff practice top hygiene, using a new pair of gloves to handle food. I’d love it if you stated calories on your menu!
We were looking for somewhere with lovely cakes and ice cream and Hertford Cake Co was even better than hoped. A small business located just along from the theatre and river, nicely away from the crazy buzz of the town, it only takes a few minutes walk to reach. The range and choice was excellent, everything from cupcakes to brownies to ice cream and more. The coffee menu was also vast and had everything you'd want. As an added bonus, the ice cream is made and sourced locally and was fab. As for the quality, 10/10 as rated by my son the cake connoisseur and I. Truly delicious and obviously made by someone with a lot of care and skill. Above all else, it was the warm welcome and exceptional service that stood out. The team made us feel truly welcome and it was a joy discussing Hertford, our travels and more. It's such a pleasure to be able to seek out and support small businesses when we travel and this was up there with the best. We wish them every success, they deserve it for working so hard to produce a wonderful store.
Come here regular for my sweet fix. Cakes are a little pricy tho and sometimes they are better than others. Compared to like Lola’s cupcakes the icing and stuff doesn’t taste as superior.
Very well organised ... so if there's a queue hang on it soon goes ... this place is just lovely, I know it's not the most important thing but I love the branding ... if you're buying a gift it does make a difference ... if you're not it still makes everything picture perfect. The cakes are all amazing so hard to choose a favourite and the coffee is excellent. Open Fri, Sat and Sun at the moment, check out their social media to see what they're making, order online and collect or pop down to the shop and buy direct ... lovely to see a local business thriving
Just got these today. Wow just wanted something sweet. Got these home and they are delicious, great place, and staff are really nice. Will be back again for sure. I got some brownies and blondies, the assortment of cupcakes was amazing so will be back for those.
I ordered a cake for my daughters 18th birthday and it was amazing, she was so happy!!

Great little independent shop with personable staff which clearly caters for a lot of regulars. Really fresh bakes and the vegan options seemed popular. They also have options to buy large quantities as well as individual bakes/cakes. Personally, the bakes are rather sweet and decadant so if you don't particularly have a huge sweet tooth then it's worth sharing.
