Been going for over 14 years, food has always been consistent and great, first class service. The recent refurb has just elevated it to the next level. Stonehaven has 3 great Indian restaurants but this is the best. Takeaway option too if you don't want to sit inFood: 5/5
Super great experience as usual here. Friendly welcoming staff. My regular lunchtime Indian now whenever I'm in Stonehaven. £8.95 lunch starter and main is a great deal too. Keep up the great work guys
Really lovely meal and great service. Will definitely be back!
What a lovely place, with great really great good and friendly service! We were urgently scouting for a place to eat on a Monday night and came across Tandoori Haven. A very attractive restaurant, with glittering lamps and white table cloths. We were warmly greeted and taken to a comfortable booth where we were presented with menus and treated to the beginning of what was courteous service the whole night. While browsing the extensive menu we asked for assistance in picking out some dishes which they were happy and quick to offer making one dish milder with extra cream. We had papadom and chutney to start and vegetable palak, roshni and pakora. Everything was spot on. From the authentic tangy achar, mango, onion and mint chutneys, to puffy crisp papadom, the just right mild palak to garlicky roshni everything was high quality and delicious. My super picky eater loved the pakora and even enjoyed the palak. The adventurous eater who doesn't love spicy yummed their way through the mint chutney and palak with garlic naan. I was very pleased with not only the just right level of garlic in the roshni but also that all the vegetables tasted fresh and still retained their flavours within the fish. The naan was big, flavorful and soft. The service was both impeccable but also kind and friendly. They seemed to know what we needed and offered it at every step. We will definitely be back to Tandoori Haven soon and often!
There were twelve of us and we had the buffet. There was a good choice of food for starters and a main course. No dessert but plenty of wine..Food: 5/5
Great food & superb service. Recently redecorated to a high standard. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Child friendly.Food: 4/5
Not so impressed. I would say nice food presentation but not so great on taste. Service was not great either with one instance of forgetting our drinks, taking nearly 10 minutes for another order of drinks to arrive and nearly 50 minutes for our food to arrive. It was a Saturday night but it didn't get really busy until 20 minutes after we had ordered. Also the staff need to learn to smile and be more approachable. 2 of them just looked stressed and unhappy. Out of 5 main dishes we felt 2 were very bland and 2 more were average. One was so bland we left it. Only one dish was really enjoyable. Staff noticed the uneaten dish and adjusted the bill after our feedback. Garlic naan lacked garlic or butter too. Just a hint of flavour. How can you get that wrong? Disappointing as the previous reviews are what pulled us in.
Visited on a Monday evening when it was not so busy. My wife does not like spicy food and they do a good European selection which suited her. Staff were attentive and overall the prices were quite reasonable. Chicken Pakora and Tikka Masala was fantastic. Another highly recommended stop if you are in Stonehaven.
Traditional Indian restaurant appropriately decorated and with authentic music playing in the background. Good selection of dishes which can be cooked with your favourite meat, chicken or vegetables. Vegan options available as is alcohol free Indian beer. Quiet on a Monday evening in December, and staff are friendly and helpful.
First time visiting this restaurant. We like to support local, the food was good, as was value and service.
