Very basic station. Disabled toilets have radar key but are locked inside the station building when the station is not staffed out of hours. The lifts do not work sometimes and I have arrived with my son who is a wheelchair user and had to get the station staff to make them work, successfully in this case. The National Rail app is always showing the lifts are not working when they are even though I have emailed National Rail and told the staff at Tamworth. The staff at the station itself do a really good job hence the 4 stars.

Fewer facilities than you'd expect for a station with transport links like this. The station itself is functional if not a little run down and miserable. Avoid the public toilets if you can help it

I have used Tamworh railway station for many years. Today was a typical day which reflects the deterioration of service - no parking spaces at 7.50am; if you dont park correclty in a defined space then expect a £100 penalty; 1 ticket maching out of order again; today was the first day this week a kiosk was open.. but no one serving so i had to run for my train with no ticket; thankfully i got a ticket on the train otherwise a further penaly to pay. On the plus side the staff are lovely when they are there.

Poor facilities over the weekend. Toilets non accessable. No where to get refreshments. No staff. Everywhere is locked up. Not great for when there are delayed and cancellations and when waiting with children.

Given the amount of trains that go past its a nice station if you want to take photos of live moving trains.
