Had an appointment at the Fracture Clinic this morning at 10:10. I got here on time, and waited 15 minutes, then was sent to have an x-ray. It's 11:00, and I am still waiting. Why not send people x-rays when they get there? That would work in any other hospital, but not this one. You still have to wait ages! It was the same before Covid, only now it's worse, and the virus is a perfect excuse for bigger incompetence. You shouldn't overbook clinics, which is probably what's happening, and always has. People have better things to do than water the whole day
Don't even know where to start. The A&E department itself is disgusting, they've got windows open and people stood outside smoking when they've got a clear sign up that smoking on hospital grounds is not permitted. The waiting times are horrendous, I had to wait almost 9hrs to see gynecology team. When I finally got seen the room I was taken to was awful, bed didn't even adjust properly and was checked and sent home in 10 minutes being told to come back if I experience anymore symptoms. The amount of tax and NI deducted from wages and this is what we get! Can't even get an appointment at your GP and end up coming to this dump. Don't think staff are even bothered.
Just coming up to 15 hours waiting to be seen - told the waiting time was 6 hours, then after 6 hours it increased almost every hour Now we’re told it’s a 14 hour delay - after waiting 15, so clearly they have no clue Communication is terrible Drunk people coming in with injuries and accompanied by police getting seen within a few minutes while the rest of us just have to wait. Im told there are still 3 people ahead of us - but no one has been seen in the last hour or more Someone else has been told “you will be lucky to be seen by lunchtime!” Not eaten for over 16 hours - not slept all night - have to start work and college in 2 hours time so can’t afford to stay any longer Will have to manage with zero sleep The person in charge just has the standard message - we’re very busy and we have no beds so we can’t even tell you how long it’s going to take Incompetent.
Took my granddaughter here today because she had a terrible pain in her lower right leg and because of the medication she is on we feared it could have been a blood clot. All the staff were fantastic from reception to doctors who run tests and immediately gave us the results that it wasn’t. All this and within 1 hour. Well done Tameside and glossop integrated and vascular departments a really organised and speedy service.
My husband and myself attended the Walk in Centre at Tameside Hospital today and the treatment we received was excellent. We were treated professionally, respectfully and very efficiently from start to finish and the place was absolutely immaculate..We are both very happy with the service we received and many thanks to all of you. Ann and John English.
Worst hospital in Manchester. Don’t have a clue how to manage staff and time table. Provide a appointment time but see you after 3hrs. Absolute joke. They think we don’t have anything to do. The world revolves around them!!!
I rate this tameside hospital in Glossop a 2 out of 5 because we could not go and visit our family member whilst he was sick as there was only two members allowed but we had children aged 7 to 9 so we could just leave them out there and two of us go in. Previously to us there was a family who also went in to go and see there family member and all of them went in, there was also a grandfather with his grand children and they all went in but we could I just find it a little disrespectful as they would let other but not us enter as a family to go and see their sick family member.
My daughter went missing and was took to Tameside hospital, she was drunk and was not in the right mental state what so ever, some nurses do not know how to handle people with mental health issues she was told shes just a spoilt little girl who deserves a beat in. A nurse turned around and said to me while she was having a mental break down that i should just give her a beat in which i think is so wrong, these nurses do not deserve to do there job and should be trained more on mental health if they cant handle it, safe to say never going to that hospital again until they sort the staff out.
Shocking! Was told 3.5 hour wait for my daughter who was in pain, faint, raging temperature, throwing up and stomach pain. Query appendicitis/sepsis 5 hours later still sat on the floor and receptionist too rude to check how much longer but waiting times shot up to 7.5 hours. Worst place to be in pain.
NO PARKING & extortionately priced shop!It was not even visiting hours. I went into every car park and no spaces. 20 minutes, infact 23 mins and eventually I found one. For a large hospital that is apparently adding more departments is atrocious. The shop located at hartshead entrance is overpriced, the price mark up is worse than some motorway services. The points above are enough to make anyone ill from shock
