I love Tamburino beyond words! The first time I tried their food was by accident, in Yeovil and since then, even if it's a long drive from Exeter, I try to visit them as many times as I can! The entire Tamburino team, the food, the service, the Italian quality they put in everything is absolutely fantastic! Tamburino is by far that true Italian restaurant that is so hard to find in the South West of England.
A delicious meal, from first bite to last drop of coffee. The service was friendly and excellent and we felt welcome. For two elderly people it is ideal as there is a car park behind and easy access. My only problem was deciding what to choose. It's a while since we were here but we will be back soon. Parking: Small car park right behind the restaurant but ideal for us as we have limited mobility and would find it hard to walk from public car parks.
6 people & a baby enjoyed a lovely meal at lunchtime. Staff extremely helpful& friendly & happy. Pizzas were absolutely delicious Freshly made, served hot. Great atmosphere We will definitely be back! Thank you Kid-friendliness: Our grandson of 16 months was provided with a high chair & staff engaged with him.
Me and my friend came here for a meal, I've driven past a few times so we decided to take the plunge. Oh my gosh, from the get go it was wonderful. The girl who greeted us, exceptional. Everyone in there was so polite, it was a clean and welcoming atmosphere. I had a calzone which you can see from the image is huge - it wasn't done in a quick second and it didn't take forever so no complaints on cooking lead times! The food was incredibly, we also had zucchini frittes to share - they were scrummy! I had a negroni *Italian kiss noise* it was perfect, really was a beautiful cocktail. All of the staff were great, food is reasonable for the quality you get and the price you pay! I will 100% be going back here, without a doubt :
We had a meal for 12, the waiters and waitresses were super nice but stretched. The menu offered the group a wide range of choices, the food is standard fair pizza, pasta etc and was nice. They served draft beer in pints which I liked and was an economic choice compared to the bottled beer. Waiter was Italain and waitresses were Spanish which was positive as my father in law is Spanish and doesn't speak much English. I would go back to eat. The place has a mezzanine floor so 1/4 on the ground floor and the rest is up a short flight of stairs.
We recently had our Christmas work meal here. What can I say, we all had a fabulous night. Great entertainment! Wonderful, kind and very attentive staff! I didn't get everyone's names! Couple mentions Felix also Yoursa not sure on the spelling sorry Such an amazing fun atmosphere! Safe to say we would definitely all visit again. Food was received well. Overall just a fantastic night had by all. Many thanks to all the staff you where all EXCELLENT.
One of the few places open on Monday nights. Pleasant surroundings and staff very friendly. Had a great starter but was not overwhelmed with the main courses. The drinks were expensive, but then again, where aren't they.Food: 3/5
Edit: Finally on thr third visit resisted the nibbles and multiple starters to try the dessert menu a semifredo and can only say it affirms my belief few things are as reliable as homemade Italian desserts. Amazing Italian food with great service! Visited during a trip to Clarks Village, found by random but but a real gem with nice ambience and friendly, fast service We shared a starter of the antipasto misto which was varied and all extremely tasty, the funghi alto adige was new to me and a highlight on a plate of highlights, a flat mushroom with smoked cheese and speck on top. Special mention too for the homemade tartar sauce with the calamari. Main was the special of Rana Pescatrice which was a generously heaped plate of monkfish, mussels, king prawns and calamari in a chilli and tomato sauce. All the seafood was brilliantly cooked and the sauce had just the right amount of kick without overpowering any of the fish. Worth every penny as we left absolutely stuffed... which was the only bad part, the awful tease that was a beautiful looking dessert menu full of homemade Italian desserts all calling my name like a chocolate coated siren, and knowing I hadnt even got room for gelato. Next time there WILL be dessert. It would be criminal to miss it twice.
We went to Tamurino VIllage for our New years Eve meal and party. Lui and Mimo were singing who we follow so we new it was going to be a good night. The food was gorgeous and cooked to perfection. The restaurant was very well decorated. On arrival we were given crisps and nut to enjoy with our drinks very nice touch. Above all I would just like to thank the staff who quickly and professionally served us throughout the evening. There was no long waits for drinks etc soon as you ordered they were on it. We will definitely be going to the restaurant again to try out the menu. Thankyou once again for a great evening.
Absolutely fantastic evening of wine, food, friends, and wonderful, if rather cheesy sing along live music. Posh or fancy, it ain't, but just a great place for a night out. Word of warning though. If you are looking for a quiet night and a romantic meal when they have the music on, it might not be the place for you.Food: 5/5
