Had a little wander round just for some fresh air, what a stunning little place it is. Definitely going back with my camera. There was a place to buy ice cream and coffee but unfortunately was shut so I'll definitely be trying next time
Very cheep car parking for the day. Lots of adventure here on a dog walk. Woodland trail or along the tarn. Each season will create a different experience. If your in the area looking for an hour's gentle stroll you won't be disappointed here Playground: A few swings slides and climbing frames for bored youngsters while adults have a cuppa Restrooms: Didn't use Dog-friendliness: Woods and a tarn for them to explore Picnic area: Plenty of space for a private snack
What a great place to visit, lovely walk with a good foot path. Nice cafe, we got an ice cream. Toilets were clean and tidy. Really wanted to take a boat out but we didn't have time so fingers crossed will do that the next time.
This is our 3rd visit. It is a lovely Park to visit for a walk around the lake, it is about 1.5 miles in total. There is also a cafe, which serves delicious pasties, sandwiches, cakes, tea coffee etc, the ladies in the cafe are extremely friendly. The entrance to the Park is free, there is a small charge for parking. We will definitely be back.
Oh my god, what a beautiful part of the world, exquisite! A must see while you are in Carlisle. Perfect for dogs and family's. Parking is pay and display but cheap and roomy.
Phenomenal views..lovely walkways that lead onto others..lovely to walk around the lake. Nice little cafe too.
Beautiful place can hire a boat £12 for 30mins also take the dog on with you lovely walk around the lake nice park yummy ice cream. Also play crazy golf £10 family ticket Playground: Lovely place ground with sand Restrooms: Have free toilets Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly can also go on rowing boat with you Picnic area: Great picnic area yummy ice cream
Stumbled across this on journey to Northumberland to go for a coffee. Great setting for walk with great views of tarn and local hills. Nice cafe. Very clean toilets.
Such a gem. Easy walk round the lake. So many birds singing. Lots of ducks with ducklings. Cafe and toilets. £2.40 to park all day. Well worth a visit.
A lovely place to go for a walk or relaxing with family , theres a Cafe and toilets, you have to pay for parking, id recommended taking cash because card payment doesn't always work!
