Story

Founded in 1936 by Late Abdul Jabbar from the Moulvibazzar district in Bangladesh, Taj Stores quickly became the heartbeat of the Bangali community in London. By 1952 Abdul Jabbar was joined by his younger brother Abdul Khalique and with their combined efforts created a strong foundation which was later build on by Abdul Khalique's 3 sons; Abdul Hai (Junel), Abdul Quayum (Jamal) & Abdul Muhith (Joynal).

The business has grown from strength to strength and have evolved with society over the decades. Taj Stores policy of always putting their customers first, has seen them create a loyal customer base.

Taj stores is unlike your regular grocery store as it supplies a large variety of exotic foods difficult to source elsewhere. Taj Stores also has a butchers in store, meaning you can buy all your food supplies from one place.
