Our partner Judith Meil is an accredited specialist in family law. She is joined in our family law team by our long term associate Catriona MacLeod. They are both experienced in all aspects of family law, including divorce, separation, cohabitation claims, contact/residence, adoption and guardianship. They are both accredited Family Law Mediators and are trained as Collaborative Family Lawyers, which enables them to offer a range of approaches in order to best meet your individual needs.

Ross Taggart is our litigation partner and has considerable experience in all court and tribunal related matters. He has been involved in both civil & criminal cases in the Sheriff Courts, Court of Session and High Court of Justiciary. He has conducted cases in the Employment Tribunals in both Scotland and England as well as having been involved in cases in the Employment Appeal Tribunal, Appeals to the Inner House of the Court of Session, the House of Lords (now Supreme Court in London) and criminal appeals in the High Court of Justiciary sitting as an appeal court. Ross is also qualified as a Solicitor Advocate, Specialising in Civil Litigation and Civil Advocacy involving Extended Rights of Audience to appear in the Court of Session in Edinburgh and also in the United Kingdom Supreme Court, in London. He is always pragmatic and will seek out the best solution for our clients.

Our partner Frank Mathers graduated from Aberdeen University in 1976 and has been a partner in three legal firms over an extensive working life. He has a wealth of experience in a wide range of legal fields including; residential and commercial property purchase and sale, company formation and dissolution, commercial leasing, private client including Wills, Powers of Attorney and Executries. He will deal with all matters in an experienced, caring and competent way and is always willing to go that extra mile to help.

Frank is joined in the conveyancing and private client department by our solicitor Donna Elrick. Donna completed her traineeship with the firm in May, 2014 during which she gained experience both in the conveyancing and family law teams. Since qualifying Donna has joined the conveyancing and private client department on a full time basis.

Catherine McKay is currently undergoing her traineeship which commenced in August, 2015. Catherine is gaining experience in the convenyancing department.
