Spoke to Bob earlier today about my guitar having a neck issue. Within seconds of picking the guitar up, he had diagnosed the issue. Very fast turn around less than 2 hours for truss rod adjustment, intonation, etc. I HIGHLY recommend Bob for anything guitar related. Very pleasant and knowledgeable about guitars and a pleasure to do business with. I will be bringing future guitar projects to him without hesitation. Thanks Bob
Exceptional service from Bob. I asked him to completely overhaul an acoustic guitar and an electric guitar, and I mean completely overhaul. A totally professional approach to the task. Recently I had two vintage guitars shipped over from South Africa one a 12 string Höfner and the other an Ovation Legend, both had been in storage for a while and needed some major TLC, Bob was great, from the very first meeting he is very welcoming and obviously knowledgeable although very modest with it. After some long conversations about our mutual love of music and guitars, Bob worked his magic setting up, cleaning them up and returned these very sentimental guitars back to me in near perfect condition in no time at all, considering the work needed. Immediately I brought him my other guitars for setting up and a little once over... all of them play 100x better than before and I know where to go for even the smallest of issues in the future... honestly couldn't recommend Bob more highly.
I got in contact with Bob, hoping he could fix the problem with a few fret inlays that had popped out. Bob used his knowledge and skills to rectify the problem and get the guitar playing again. Thank you very much, Bob. highly recommend Guitar Tech.
Bob is an absolutely top guy with a wealth of knowledge that he is more than happy to share and he is obviously very skilled. I visited Bob a couple of months for some advice having bought a second hand acoustic after years away from playing the guitar. He gave me some pointers and very kindly supplied a set of strings. I returned this week having purchased a Epiphone Les Paul with a faulty pick up switch which he replaced and again gave the guitar a once over and offered advice on the best way to look after guitars. He then showed us some examples of his work, which is absolutely stunning - I say us as my son who is an accomplished guitarist dropped off a bass and an electric to have some work done, for which I am sure he will write a suitably positive review.
As a collector and performer with 12 high quality and vintage guitars and bass’s, having skilled and reliable people like Bob to call on the make repairs and upgrades is essential. He is thoroughly dependable and I have no hesitation in recommending for stringed instrument repairs and upgrades.
Took my guitar to Bob recently. He immediately identified that the neck needed adjustment. He did it there and then and fixed a couple of other small issues as well. I had high action on my Yamaha LL16 acoustic. Took it to Bob at The Forge and he's reduced it nicely and it plays so much easier. I would highly recommend Bob for all your guitar needs. Top workmanship.
I was recommended Bob by a friend. I just needed a new nut fixed on my Fender semi-acoustic, which Bob fitted beautifully. In the process, he diagnosed that my bridge was too high, causing the neck to bend backwards. So he repaired this too, and also re-stringed and adjusted the action. Splendid work, very quick too. Many thanks Bob!
What a find! Bob did a fabulous job identifying the fault and quickly fixing my son's electric guitar at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend his services and will certainly return should I ever need a guitar fixing again. Five star service!!
