Everyone at Birks was kind, understanding and supportive of the whole family, especially Joanne - she made a difficult situation so much easier to deal with.
Right from the start Fiona took care of us, discussing our options in a professional but sympathetic manner. She kept in touch throughout the intervening period, checking on the welfare of the family and making sure that we were ok with all the arrangements. On the day of the funeral the whole team looked after us in a calm and considerate way so we didn’t have anything at all to think or worry about. A heartfelt thanks for a first class service at a difficult time .
Absolutely 5 star service from Fiona she is truely an angel on Earth .... nothing is too much trouble and she performs her duties with such dignity and love .....she makes a difficult journey bearable.....xxx
After my father passed away T.W.Birks came to help plan the funeral, obituary etc. Fiona was absolutely amazing. It is so rare to see such a high standard of professionalism, kindness, compassion and love. No detail was missed and everything was taken care of to the highest standards. Thank you for guiding our family through this very difficult time !
T W Birks have recently dealt with my mums funeral. I have nothing but praise for this company. From the initial telephone consultation to the funeral itself and after. They have offered help and support and given a great service. Nothing was too much trouble. After dealing with another huddersfield based funeral directors previously I now realise what a poor service we had received when comparing them to TW Birks.
A heartfelt thank you to Jo and her team, for their kind, caring and professional way we have been treated throughout our bereavement, at a time when you are at your most vulnerable they are with you every step of the way, with a sensativity rarely seen, even going out of her way Jo to look after my elderly father and taking him straight inside out of the cold to sit down when we arrived at the Crematorium, it's little touches like that make them special, they ring to keep you updated but asking mainly how you are coping, and if there's anything they can do to help, you don't feel like they are funeral directors, you feel like they are your friends, so again thank you myself, son & daughter feel you gave my husband, their dad a wonderful the send off he truly deserved.
The service we received from T.W Birks & Son Ltd was ,from the moment we contacted them, to the end of the funeral, caring, thoughtful and extremely genuine. Their attention to detail was outstanding and the level of care and consideration couldn't have been better. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

The service I received from T.W.Birks was superb From the moment I first rang, I received nothing but the most considerate, yet efficient service from them. One could not wish to meet a nicer person than Ian Waterhouse, the funeral director whose consideration and attention to detail made the events of the day run like a well oiled machine. Our chosen Minister, Andrew Platts was also exceptional to the degree that after the service many, many people said it was the best service they had ever been to and my eldest son said that for him, this is the bench mark for funerals. The care and consideration did not end with the events on the day and there was continuing support afterwards. They dealt with the donations, sending the appropriate amount to each of our chosen charities. I have instructed my relatives that when I die they must use T.W.Birks & Son Ltd to deal with my funeral arrangements. Thank you TWB!
